quote:Stupid arse reason to cost people their lives. They were selfish assholes who KNEW people were dying for their lie and the world is still suffering because of it. I don't like the result of their selfishness having a major impact on the world.
Well, they were in love, so there is that

But yeah, all Rhaegar and Lyanna had to do was tell the Starks what was up, so that Brandon wouldn't have gone off half cocked and provoked the Mad King.

Not on the show. There wasn't an Umber shown at the Red Wedding on the show.

Was he? Really don't remember.
In the books, Greatjon was supposed to be made too drunk to fight but still killed a man, wounded two others, and bit someone's ear off. Then he was captured. Smalljon was killed though.
In the show, Greatjon wasn't at The Twins when the Red Wedding happened but has basically disappeared.

Did you actually read the books?

If Ramsey is headed to the wall, he's in deep shite. A resurrected snow, a shite ton of wildlings and a giant to augment the thinned out crow forces
And Brienne will be there. Ramsey fuuuuuuucked

I didn't buy this for a long time. I'm warming up to it the more Tyrion was established as an expert on dragons, obsessed with them almost, and the dragon dreams (in the books). Still not sure.
But, it's definitely not Young Griff. We're running out of options.

The three headed dragon is Tyrion, Dany and Jon. Jon leads the world against the White Walkers and destroys them. Then Dany takes over Westeros. It's all set up for that to happen.
You came up with that by yourself huh? Oh and that is certainly not set in stone.

Dragon dreams brother.. dragon dreams.
Now since he sort of calmed/commanded the dragons like he was a dragon rider or something supports this even more. I understand show, but supports this depending on how much they are keeping to GRRM's wishes.
Does Jon have dragon dreams at any point, no right?

The Umbers are split because of the hostage situation. The Karstarks are fully in with the Boltons, although one of them is pretending to side with the conspiracy. The Manderlys have the swords inside Winterfell during Stannis' siege.
I think the show is rapidly accelerating events at the Wall and Winterfell. Obviously, Roose is still alive at the end of the current novels. The "Bastard Letter" implies he has more authority than Roose would have allowed, so maybe that has happened away from any POV characters (Theon has left Winterfell, so, may be).
All they need is for someone to hire The Faceless Men to kill someone in the north and it will be a big family reunion for the Starks (on the show).
Still concerned about Rickon, though. If they really bring him to Ramsay - I'm going to have a tough time with that.

Well, that is a little harsh. The Mad King was called that for a reason, so I'm guessing everyone was waiting for a reason to rebel at that point.
But even if R & L were what you claim (I just think they didn't foresee that Brandon would flip out like he did), that still isn't an indictment of Jon. Jon seems to be the only one wanting to except what is coming, and making the hard decisions to prepare for it. Plus, Jon is the offspring of ice and fire, so there is that whole thing.

Most definitely. So much shite happened tonight, there wasn't a dull scene. Hell even the Greyjoys were a breath of fresh air (especially compared to the Dornish counts).

How come we all are 99% sure of how it all ends then?
Predictable.
Because Martin is a slow fricking writer and the fans have had twenty God damn years to pick apart and analyze a complex framework within which Martin, like any good writer, dropped hints about the secrets that are to be unfolded, and then the fans all got together on the internet and shared their ideas.
It is still one of the most unpredictable series, fantasy or otherwise, of all time.

It's not like R & L's lie and infidelity benefited them - they both were dead soon after

No, but I think distance is an issue, too. Didn't Tyrion's dragon dreams amp up once he was in Essos and getting closer to the dragons? I may be misremembering that from the books.
Jon is obviously Azor Ahai, TPTWP -
"When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone."
SO, if Rhaegar is Jon's father, AND he is Azor Ahai - then he is one of the heads of the dragon.
