I know everyone loves to hate this show. I'm not one of them. My wife thought they'd burn him and he'd rise from the dead

Would've been more interesting if she did her spell, they thought it didn't work, they burned him but because he's a targaryen he just gets up

Sorry...i got curious, so i peeked.
This post gets you 7 downvotes in the Hodor thread.
Poor dude. And he's 100% truthful:

quote:

Here's a theory I've pieced together so far just from watching the show:

1. John Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, therefore he has King's blood and a claim to the North so when he retakes Winterfell I think they'll make him Warden or at least it's his if he chooses.
2. Rhaegar and Lyanna were secretly in love, but something happened, and she was "abducted" which of course started a rebellion to overthrow the Targaryens led by the usurper Robert. Robert loved Lyanna, but it was unrequited love, and he couldn't stand the thought of losing her to a Targaryen.
3. Ned found out about his sister and Rhaegar, but couldn't betray Robert, nor could he abandon his sister, so he took the child (John Snow) in, claimed and raised him as his own bastard, and never told Catelyn because she sucks.

I think this is my main issue. I hate that R&J's selfish actions and the result of their selfish actions gets to be a hero. They divided a kingdom and caused countless people to be killed and families to be wiped out. All because Rhaegar couldn't keep it in his pants and Lyanna couldn't keep her legs shut and just marry Robert.

The bad guy winning would make it a great series. The good guy winning it would still be good but it would be a bland ending. I don't want a bland ending.

Why do you consider the White Walkers as the bad guys? They're just trying to survive and thrive as a species just like every other species does.

How come we all are 99% sure of how it all ends then?

Predictable.

Good point.

I have always liked the Boltons FWIW. Not a huge fan of Ramsay but I really like Roose. He helped get his house more power and all he wanted was to end the killings and have a peaceful land.

His one fatal flaw was trusting his bastard.

Dude it has taken millions of fans discussing online to pick out theories and clues to how the series ends. And guess what, nobody knows for sure. It's easy to say it's predictable now with so much information online. Imagine if this series was written in the 70s with no internet.

The three headed dragon is Tyrion, Dany and Jon. Jon leads the world against the White Walkers and destroys them. Then Dany takes over Westeros. It's all set up for that to happen.

Would work on two fronts. We all saw Jon snow coming back, for a second we'd be shocked that he really was dead because they're burning his body. Then we'd be left with the shock that he's with azur azhai or a targaryen...perhaps both

Kind of a lame way to bring Jon snow back only because we all saw it coming

Because you've read the theories and predictions pieced together by millions of fans who hover over every word GRRM has written for 15 years.

Well, they were in love, so there is that. But yeah, all Rhaegar and Lyanna had to do was tell the Starks what was up, so that Brandon wouldn't have gone off half cocked and provoked the Mad King. But in the end, if they Mad King hadn't been mad, then I don't think there would've been an uprising by anyone but maybe Robert.
