It's a stretch, I'm willing to assume it's possible. When they killed all the bastards they were after Gendry for certain, this means she's aware of him.
I just don't think she gets to the conclusion of "burning down KL with wildfire" from where we are now. There has to be a systematic collapse of the throne before that. Couple that with the entire sage shifting towards war above the wall and the throne is about to be obsolete either way.

I thought the "rumor" was that Sansa Stark is alive and married off to Ramsey by LF. I'll have to research that scene again. Probably misremembered.

I could see it going either way. Cersei could burn down the Great Sept which kills Tommen in the fire. Or I could see Tommen dying and Cersei just burning shite in revenge.
Either way I think this is what drives Jaime away from her.

not sure if they were used in the battle of blackwater, but Tyrion found huge caches of wildfire under the city. Some of it was very old and it was told to him that the older it got, the more potent it became. indeed, some were too volatile to move and use for the blackwater battle. i think if the "rumor" is about wildfire, then it is these very old, very devastatingly powerful caches of wildfire that were intentionally not moved during the battle of blackwater. bad accidents will happen if Cersei tries to use it.

HR knows, I just have to believe when Ned made it back to winterfell he would have confided at that time to Benjen, seeing how Lyanna was also his sister.
Just another crackpot theory but it isn't a stretch IMO.

I thought the rumor was going to be something about the High Sparrow's past.

I agree. I believe that, for literary purposes, she will be directly responsible for it. She had little culpability for the others and, keep in mind in the books, Myrcella is not quite dead, just maimed - a fact Cersei seemed non-plussed about - in fact she was much more passionate about getting Ser Robert Strong (Clegane) placed on the Kingsguard than she was concerned about Myrcella's health when she found out about it from Kevan, right before the walk of atonement.

It's not crackpot, we just don't know. I'm just siding with Ned doing everything in his power to fulfill the duty for which a promise was given. One of the steps/tasks in fulfilling that promise is keeping Jon's Targ blood a secret. Sometimes brothers and sisters even loyal keep secrets from each other. Him telling Benjen returns zero value towards his duty to protect Jon.

Lazy IMO
Sure to some extent. But the actor is an old man and probably couldn't move around all that well. Even with a stunt double it would have been a pain to shoot and no one expected him to survive, including himself.

I think a lot of the off camera deaths are a result of budgeting. I expect the battle of the bastards to be a massive, long battle like "watchers on the wall," which probably ate most of the shows budget.
you have to pick and choose which is more valuable when you have money constraints. im sure they could have done a scene showing the blackfish battling, but it might have damped the real battle people want to see.
eta: i think this also explains why arya's battle was not on camera as well.

I just found it odd that we hear so much about the blackfish for multiple seasons - and then i can't really figure out what he "did" in the show except get Jamie out of KL.

also why instead of good fight scenes we have gotten quick head chopp offs and head rips lately which are probably easier and cheaper to shoot than a choreographed fight scene like at Tower of Joy and Mountain vs. Oberyn

Having a 4 or 5 person sword fight is not really that expensive.
Especially considering how detailed the Lannister army is during the siege. Could easily have cut some corners there for a bit more swordplay.

or hell just show the dead
I'm kinda growing tired of the "is he dead or is he not dead" after every off air death

The people asked for some wine talk not sword fighting.

I think the rumor is about the Mad King hiding stashes of the wildfire around Kings Landing. That is what Bran's vision was about. The wildfire that Tyrion used in the Battle of Blackwater was from the stashes that the Lannisters were making...I think.

The theory that Stannis is alive is fricking stupid, but I don't understand why they show the Hound carving some dude's nuts with an axe, but Brienne can't stab the frick out of Stannis on camera?

I am considering making a standalone thread, but I am starting to have concerns about D&D's ability to wrap this show up in a quality way without book source material.
There have been some bright spots this season, other part that are just very, very bad but seemingly get a pass because it is GOT.
And it isn't only the holes in the story itself (Arya brushing off serious injury, Vary's somehow not knowing anything about the Masters attack), it is the way the show is being presented and choices being made (fart jokes, pointless Tyrion / worm/ M conversations, flitting around between so many storylines).
I am feeling pessimistic.
