The more I think about it, Jon Snow dying and not coming back maybe the biggest shocking twist.
Shocking twists does not equal best story. If they were just looking for a shocking twist they could say that Theon has Dragon blood or some shite. OMG shock value, kewl!

I can't believe they did a cut away death scene on Stannis. Lame.
Also...how are people thinking that was actually Lena Headey naked?

So Ghost saves Sam from getting beaten by 2 guys but decides to vanish while Jon is getting shanked?
They had obviously planned to kill Jon, I am sure one of them was smart enough to realize that Ghost needed to be locked up or worse taken out.

A lot of characters are poised to take major revenge next season.
That being said. I did not want Jon to die. And the kill shot from Ollie was painfully telegraphed.
I'm just pissed. I wanted Jon the save the world.
frick it. #teamwhitewalker at this point clense this land

You have been posting in both threads lol
Snow is dead for sure. No question.
Will he be brought back? Who knows. Don't care. This show pisses me off.
Wouldn't be surprised if he is intentionally not shown at all next year. Don't care. Not watching.

Here's a thought after processing this episode:
I don't think Stannis is dead. A couple things point to that:
Brienne seemed uncertain about it. She's been wound up about killing him, but when she meets him, she hesitates. She even asks him if he has any last words, like "aren't you going to say something at least muthafricka?"
He's defeated, his desire to be king is gone, he's thrown everything away for a lie. He defends himself against the soldiers, but not against Brienne. He admits to everything she accuses him of, and then says "do your duty". Her current duty is to save Sansa, while killing Stannis is more of her personal goal.
Another thing, little, I know: she sentences him to die, he accepts. He isn't putting up any resistance at all. And she is, above all, honorable. So in this case, if she's going to execute Stannis, she would do it cleanly, and not torture him unnecessarily.
Meaning: she would not swing the sword like she did.
He's leaning back against a tree. To kill him cleanly, she would thrust it in a stabbing manner. Swinging would either hit the tree, or she'd use the tip and just slice him some more. I don't see her doing that to a totally surrendered foe.
I think she swings into the tree in frustration and yells "dammit" or some version thereof, and Stannis ends up serving in the plan to rescue Sansa. She probably tells Stannis she will kill him when it's over, and Stannis probably tells her he will help, if she really will kill him afterwards (as he clearly wants to die).

Did anybody else see something moving in the trees behind Brienne? I thought I saw Stannis shift his eyes slightly before the alleged "kill shot" took place

Would ruin the series so we would all be sad

What if John Snow's death triggers some looney GoT fanatic to go kill GRRM before he can finish the book series, so the producers of the show are free to end it how they see fit, and we're all fricked now forever? It'd be a hell of a of thing to be killed over, but almost poetic if you consider the irony of it all.
