If Tywin sent it why wouldn't he put Tommen's name on it? Robert was two kings ago, but if Tommen signed it then it seems like his spying was still going on much later than he claimed.

That was the only comment I felt I needed to comment on?

That was pretty irrelevant and contradicting to the rest of your post.

This was the same pardon but resent so Barriston or Dany would find it and know he had been spying on her.

Was it even sent in the first place? Ned had a pretty big issue with assassinating Dany as a child.

Thinking back to the first season, wasn't there a scene where Jorah gets a letter from one of the couriers, and then he immediately stops the wine seller from poisoning Dany?

If that was a pardon, I guess they did re-send it.

Yeah, it was signed by Robert. Probably just took forever to find Jorah since they've moved around so much.

They were able to find Dani with the poison wine. And knew where they were enough to know that she had taken Meereen.

If I remember correctly, not very long ago Tywin asked if Varys' little birds could make it to Meereen. Looks like they did.

Ahhh, you're right.

How did Barristan not know about Jorah spying? He was head of the kings guard.

Good point, just seems strange to me that Tywin would keep Robert's name on it. Maybe to imply that he was pardoned for giving them info leading to the assassination attempt.

If I remember correctly Jorah received that pardon in season 1 but kept it a secret. I'm not positive but I believe Tywin sent the same pardon (duplicate if you will) so Barriston and Dany would know about it.

Yup.

It was a pardon. I just watched that episode the other day.

You only know if Varys wants you to know.

They made a point to say that Barristan never went to small council meetings, I think. Maybe Martin did that just to close that plot hole.

Perhaps because Jorah would grow suspicious if the pardon had the new kings name on it.

Ygritte showed weakness...that means she's dead. Hound showing weakness...dead.

The only way to stay safe is just to cut everyone's head off the moment you meet them.

I'm pretty sure Tywin asked someone in the council meeting to write a letter and the pardon is probably a copy of the first one.

People like Baelish and Vaerys are the ones who survive in this show. Although Baelish's attraction to Sansa might lead to his downfall.

I can definitely see Baelish thinking he's about to get some Sansa sex...only to get stabbed. He may even be pleased with her as he is dying. Taught her well.

Varys referenced a notable weakness of LF's in season two, I wonder if Sansa was it.

What?

The whole reason he kept his name on it is because it was a pardon signed by Robert. Which shows that he was spying on her from the beginning. It wasn't made up it was the real deal. A deal he had worked out in the past. Nothing to do with Tommen.

Tywin sent this to them just to divide their leaders.
