Do you think if LOST waited until the middle of the season to do the epic twist of the Season 3 finale that it would have been effective if it was answered or referred to the next week?
If LOST knew how to properly implement and wrap up a storyline maybe I would've gotten past the 3rd season before giving up on it due to boredom

I'd be all for a Tyrion and Varys road trip across Essos to meet Dany.
I wonder if Griff will still be used then.

1 week does not have the impact as 9 months
don't understand why you can't seem to comprehend this

LSH woulda been the perfect wtf cliffhanger that would keep non readers talking for a long time. He'll it's their loss I guess. Miss out on a lot more buzz

Tyrion killing Tywin/escaping death >>>>>> to the story than LSH, who despite her bad assess is little more than a cool side character at this point. Better to let them stew on Tyrion than her

I can see them not using Illyrio and using Varys to take him to Dany. Probably not though Idk

Exactly

true
just saying that having the cliffhanger LSH ending with just her reveal would have been awesome, especially for the Hodors

IMO my favorite thing about this episode was Mel looking into the flames and seeing Jon on the other side. BRILLIANT
.

Tyrion killing Tywin isn't a cliffhanger though. There's a difference between the two.
And you give the Hodors even less credit than I do.

Leaves the Hodors to wonder where Tyrion is going next and what Arya is doing next.
The thing doesn't ALWAYS have to end in a cliff hangar to confuse the Hodors. The Hodors would have just been angry since they would have had no clue what they just saw. That would have been bad.

just not as WTF or exciting as LSH reveal

Agreed. I wanted to see her

I just don't understand why that's the case. AsI pointed out with the LOST Season 3 finale, no one really had much of a clue what they just watched, and then they rewatch it again, and finally they get some sense. And honestly, this scenario much easier to understand than that. Just show Thoros there, and they'll figure he revived her.

I'll give you that but it just would not have fit in this season at all.

I'm more dissipointed about them leaving out the tysha story and changing the tywin/tyrion exchange.
Everything else about the episode was great. I was hopeing for. LSH, but i'm fine with not seeing that huge plot twist until next year.
All in all, a very good episode with one minor flaw and one gigantic gaping hole.

which is why it would have been so perfect
it would have came out of nowhere!
most probably have almost forgotten about Cat, then BOOM!, ZombieCat fade to black
Hodors heads explode all across the land
