using a couple 8yr olds as spies? thats a stretch, and a weak storyline if true

And he is not both since Tywin doesn't know he is a product of incest. As he is concerned, they are his grand kids, but Baratheons.
So my point again, who would he give Casterly Rock to?

they're not getting out, no matter how insignificant they are, I doubt he'd just set them free

Bran and his little brother (who I always forget is even on the show) have just been chilling in Winterfell and Bran has been overseeing things since he is the eldest Stark there. Until, Theon Greyjoy (i call him Theon Gayboy) and his men come and overtake Winterfell while it's vulnerable.
Something I've always wondered (and I DO NOT want any bookfag answers) is how Theon couldn't have known that those were not the Stark boys they killed at Winterfell. I'm probably giving him too much credit, but I suspected that he secretly knew that it wasn't Bran and Rickon (sp?), and I wonder if he springs that secret knowledge at some point.
Unlike some people, I'm pretty fascinated by the Jojen Reed-Bran-Beastmaster storyline. If Jojen is right, then Bran is somehow pretty key to the future.

I think it was Theons idea to do raise up to the two farm boys.

i'm a little confused on your post...i thought he knew 100% that thoses boys weren't Bran and Rickon....he tried to pass them off as them in order to show Winterfell that he wasn't playing around

agreed
Theon knows that wasn't the Stark kids - he did it to break the spirits of the remaining Winterfellians? Winterfellions? Winterfolk?
what the frick do they call themselves?

Maybe I need to re-watch that episode; I suppose it's been too long.
There could still be a point where it's valuable for Theon to spring the knowledge of their survival. At this point, the mysterious Reeds are the only other people in Westeros who don't think Bran and Rickon are dead.

I thought that scene was more about them being afraid of Robb and how he has solidified himself as King and a badass
That was the same way I saw it. She was just perpetuating the legend, so to speak.

Agreed. And I remember the discussion back then, and that was what most thought IIRC.

That is exactly correct.

I'm obviously an illiterate who doesn't pay enough attention and didn't re-watch the previous seasons before the new one.

yeah, dont you know - most of the problems here, is that most dont know how to properly watch the show
You should have at least 2 TV's on - both with DVR, rewind and pause capability, closed captions, iPad on the HBO interactive page, laptop, and pen and paper taking notes....if you cant commit, dont watch the damn show

My den looks like this, but with maps of Westeros:

glad you accept it
kidding of course.. Not saying this at you but people who want to talk about the show and stuff just need to pay better attention just for the sole fact that it can be very hard to figure out whats going on even if you are zoned in 100%.
if you (once again not you Powertool) want to just watch the show so you can tell people you watch thats fine.. but just reading some stuff from earlier in this thread just makes me shake my head
Im not saying i know everything, a lot of my theories are horribly wrong i know that before it starts. so im not sitting up in the ivory tower holding my nose up at people. Just trying to say its probably the most complex show ive ever watched and since its from a book its hard to give all the detail and back story of people etc

Seeing how seriously some of you take GoT and the importance it plays in your lives causes me to shake my head on a regular basis. Some of us are just here to talk about a fricking TV show, not graduate to a higher thetan level.

But that's what many of you nonreaders don't understand, the two are connected.
