We haven't seen or heard Lady since season 1...
uhhhh....i have some very bad news...
first off, i loved the two scenes in the beginning (the funeral and the chair) and both were pulled off with minimal dialogue. one of the better things about this show is making all the scenes interesting even when someone isn't being beheaded or stabbed.
so hope they don't alternate dany's story out for next week since she's appeared in episodes 1 and 3 now. i think she's about to wreck shite.
i would watch a sitcom with tyrion, bronn, and pod.
i like the fact that jamie showed a human side by stopping the rape. especially after last season when he murdered his (cousin?) to escape. there are very few characters with no redeeming qualities. Even Cersei who is Bitchy McC**tenstein loves her family (and in the case of Jamie LOOOVES her family), tywin treated arya nicely, etc.
at this point who has no redeeming qualities besides craster, joffrey, the mountain, and lord greyjoy (all arguable of course and i'm sure i'm forgetting people).
all you "lannister honeypot" theorists got another scene to add to your montage. Granted it's likely that she was informed that she was treating lannisters beforehand in that scene but who knows...
lastly, people are begrudging the slow pace of the 1st 3 epi's (we can't have a blackwater every single episode) but with this book being split out over two seasons with this being the first i'm sure they have the time to adaquately paint the picture and i don't think its a bad thnig.
every episode for me still flys by.

Would that be called Two and a Half Men?

Agreed...it seems to be building up to something, and I'd hate for that to get dragged out over the next 4 or 5 weeks.
Also, I still had my search up in a different window and refreshed it before closing it...hiltacular, I know the HotU is not in Astapor, but the people are still trying to kill Dany there..that was my point.

I understand why they did it I guess, but I still would prefer if he was just cold-blooded all the time. Like you even said, he lost a hand trying to protect Brienne but had no problem offing his family to escape? Makes no sense.

Agree with that too. Although moreso for this one and the first one...last week's kinda drug for me a bit. Not that it's bad at all, because I love the show, but it didn't fly by like the other two. I wonder if HBO would eveer consider moving to hour and a half episodes...

You don't want us bringing our knowledge into this thread so shouldn't you cease bringing our book thread discussions into here
I really don't care either way but be consistent

I'm worried I'll drink too much during an episode and in my inebriated haze accidentally post spoiliers in the non-reader thread thinking it was the book one.

That wasn't inviting discussion to this thread, just letting hiltacular know that I wasn't completely missing the fact and knew what I was talking about (regarding that particular thing). But you're prolly right and I won't bring it up again just to be safe..and wouldn't have had I not still had it up in another window.

And for the hundredth time, we don't want or need readers clarifying anything to us. Nothing.
Agreed completely, if we call gilly Jill instead, and say her and Sam got it on and she's now having triplets and will proceed to eat the girl babies and send the boys to the black watch... cool, good we'll figure it out by watching the show or continue being idiots, neither of which really matter to random book readers lives I'm pretty sure.

I saw it as at that point he was trying to see how far he could persuade these guys into trusting him so he could attempt to escape.

Could be. I saw it as him trying to protect Brienne, and then seeing a reaction from the rapist dude and pushing it from there. But the whole "Her father will make you rich" thing was 100% to save her IMO. The rest was him pushing his luck with someone who doesn't give a frick about his last name.

This question is about S3E02 (I was buzzed when I watched it) who is the kid that is with Bran, actually just fill me in on what Bran's storyline is so far, I can't remember shite about it.

BTW, it looked like Lester was lording over the thread last night. Did anyone pop in and toss a spoiler (other than the one I mentioned) that was insta-zapped?
