Is that all you care about? Or do you want to discuss the show?
Get off of it. If you wouldn't insist on doing this every week, we'd be discussing the show in peace as we intended - without your input.

But to miss Gilly's name is on you not paying attention to the north of the wall stuff. It was said in the episode they met, it was said probably every time you saw Sam after that, including the last episode of Season 2 where he said it repeatedly in his "You know what's the most interesting thing about Gilly" spiel. And that's fine, you can miss shite, but someone was questioned to be a spoiling book reader for actually remembering a fricking name.
Nah, I questioned them on being a bookreader because I thought they were a bookreader. Like I've said (a few times now in here), the fact that it's "only a name" is irrelevant. And I've also admitted to not being able to keep up with it all, and of course I miss things left and right (no matter how much I pay attention). But why can't I simply discuss the show (and things I remember/misremember) with people in the same boat as me? I don't think that's being unreasonable. Maybe you disagree.

Do you not think that is absolutely ridiculous? Or that it's making this thread a paranoid and shitty place to be? You and iluv's witch hunt is doing far more damage to the enjoyment of the no spoiler thread than any book reader ever did.
Sorry you believe that I'm "on a witch hunt." That's not my intent. Sad that there has to any kind of "hunt." If people would respect thread titles, there would be no such "hunting."

Call it what you want, I'm just trying to keep bookreaders out of this thread (and trying to be civil about it). That's all.
Well it has become outstandingly obvious that you're fighting an unwinnable war. So either put down your sword and be content to not have spoilers or ruin this thread for the other viewers week in and week out......
Your choice. I frankly don't give a damn, my thread will be ok.

Someone posted that Blackfish's first name is Brynden. That's up on HBO's site where you get to no the characters in a non-spoiler way. Getting all crazy about it is like getting crazy because I said he is Cat's uncle even though in the show they say he is Cat's father's brother. And then there's the gnawing on OML for simply posting about something that already happened (the inn being the area where the Hound killed the butcher's kid - I had forgotten that and was wondering about Arya's remark as well). He didn't spoil anything, he answered to the exact same degree as a non-reader did and he got shite tossed in his face.
Nail on the head.
The name of the badass with an arrow. Not a spoiler. And honestly, wtf is a name gonna spoil anyways?
And clarification on questions on whether the guy that saved theon was the same as the guy from 10 fricking minutes prior? Not a spoiler. The question was answered by a book reader. BFD. Same with someone thinking that chick that was pregnant last season and giving birth tonight would magically be somehow having Sam's kid.
If I as a non book reader answered the same question in the same manner nothing would have happened.
I know the show is hard to follow at times, but I think some people need their ADD meds or put their computers and iPads down. Some shows you can watch and post at the same time. GOT isn't one of those shows. I learned that very early on.

Edit: You haven't posted one fricking thing in this thread related to the show itself. You don't think that is contributing to the ruin of this thread?
By the time I caught up the thread had completely detoured from show discussion.

Simply because no one can frick with you. Y'all have literally turned into the most obnoxious group of people on this board.

Thank god. Their middle ground thread got in anchored.please, if you want to discuss the show with book readers, go there.

it won't be if book readers start catching bans for posting in this thread...it would be a shame if it had to come to this

Where did I get "all crazy" about it. I asked if it had been talked about on the show. That's all. And based on things in the past in these threads, basic and seemingly unimportant information discussion between readers can very easily turn into things getting spoiled, which is the ultimate goal (to stop that from happening).

Honest question: Why is he (or other readers) posting in here to begin with? He's a known reader, and has gotten a little too informative with his answers in the past. So why not try to prevent those things from happening in the first place? Readers and nonreaders can't discuss the show equally. It's impossible. I'm fighting the uphill battle of trying to get readers to respect that none of their perspective is wanted or needed in this thread. Obviously nobody "owns" this thread (like a reader so generously pointed out last week), but why can't people just respect that this is a thread for people who have never read the books? It's not a difficult concept, yet here we are.

Back to the show, Dany was awesome with the slave guy. On second watch, I think it is much more clear she is wrecking shop soon. She was staring at all the slaves in miserable condition and questioning exactly how loyal the unsullied we're after they've been purchased.

I will. As soon as I can discuss the show with people who have never read the books.

agreed...i think she is going to take the slave soldiers and frick up the slave owner

I have three posts in this thread not counting this one.
One answering a question with less detail than a viewer answered with. And two of them dealing with this petty little witch hunt here.
YOU WILL NEVER KEEP EVERY SINGLE BOOK READER OUT OF THIS THREAD.
As soon as y'all understand and accept that fact the sooner this tread will actually function as it should. Because its up to y'all. Remember the readers who constantly post in here have other threads they can talk about game of thrones so if y'all want to let your one spot devolve into shite slinging then that's up to you.

They have two threads again. I think we should probably be okay moving forward, and I'd like to try.
Posted on 4/14/13 at 10:49 pm to CottonWasKing
It doesn't have to, but your ilk insists on doing it. You have 3 posts too many in this thread.

I agree. Happy now Tiger in NY? Don't answer that.

I am watching the rerun of tonight's episode and I was curious to watch the scene again that has Dany go up to the slave and offer water. The closed captioning says he "mutters" but would it be reasonable to assume that dude speaks the same language as the big nosed a-hole guy? Then, dany tells the interpreter girl that the slave said "let me die". I am now more certain that dany knows everything the slave trader a-hole says!
