I have no doubt those smug assholes will gloat about a bogus accomplishment.

There is no point to this thread anymore.

There are still plenty of storylines that will be in this season that have already started in the books. Like Kingsmoot, the Riverlands, and Oldtown.

I mean, they themselves are readers so they know how the books left off and they read all the fan theories. GRRM's question to them when approached about the series was "Who is Jon Snow's mother?" It would be an insult to everyone's intelligence if they acted like they pulled off the greatest trick in entertainment history.

I figure they'll acknowledge the cliff hanger as necessary because that's how the books ended, but they won't sit there and gloat. While "dead", Jon's story couldn't be more alive right now

The entire charade was an insult to watchers intelligence

They had fallen victim to HIMYM syndrome with this plot line. They want the gotcha moment. They crave it.

I see the charade as necessary. They can't just come out and be like, "lol, of course Jon isn't dead"

I haven't watched HIMYM so I don't get the reference, but if they do gloat, then I'll be right there with you in eye rolling and calling them smug assholes

You can and you should

Just put it over a couple episodes or leave it open ended, but spending THAT much effort to try and convince people he's dead is just wasted energy. Just leave it up in the air like the book did. No charade needed

I don't think it's a matter of convincing anyone that he's dead, because he definitely is. It's a matter of whether or not he stays dead, and I have yet to see D&D answer (or be asked for that matter) that question.

And for any Hodors in this thread, his death was left as a cliffhanger in the books, so readers haven't seen the answer to that question.

You wouldn't count Them parading Kit on the media circuit talking about how relieved he is to not be playing Jon snow anymore as trying to decieve the audience that he's gone for good?

Oh no, don't get me wrong. D&D are douches for that crap. I was just pointing out that the proper question hasn't been asked or answered by them, at least that I've seen. And I wanted to point out to any Hodors that readers technically don't know the answer to that question either, although most readers would lose there heads if he is never seen again.

NO. I called that as well, including the prediction that the next shot is Jon dead either in the Snow or on the table.
