1. Is this lame arse Dorne storyline past the books or is it new content. Dorne is useless without the best tits on the show being seen.
What happened last night did not happen in the books. New content
In the books Doran sends another son to Mereen to try and marry Danny.

2. Why isn't Jon a wright? Do you literally have to die north of the wall or does the Knight King or another white walker have to resurrect you?
Looks to me like the white walker has to touch you before you become one of them.
I don't think it's 100% explained but I think all white walkers have the power to turn humans into wights.

3. The Iron Islands....what is it good for? A warrior people that have fell off the planet. Is their story over?
I personally don't have any interest in the people of the Iron Islands. They are the coast trash of Westeros to me. If we never saw them again, I would be fine with it.
The Kingsmoot. Just wait.

4. Gendry? Is his story complete in the books?
I can't remember where Gendry was by the end of the books. I'm pretty sure that Littlefinger is holding him somewhere or delivered him to the Queen of Thorns last season.
He's not mentioned at all the rest of the books I believe. I think he plays a big part in the end. I hope he and Jon become best friends like Ned and Robert were.

I will finish by saying I am disappointed that red titty witch did a American Horror Story hot maid switcharoo on us? Is she human? She sort of resembled that old fricker the Bran met in the Tree. Anyway it was nasty and her perky pink nips are forever ruined for me.
I'm mad that she didn't bring Jon back. Hopefully her reveal to us last night was a setup for a resurrection next Sunday.
The Lord of Light gives her her power of glamour. The stronger her faith the stronger her power. Her faith is slipping and so is her power. She's over 200 years old.

Ps. Does Margerry get a walk of shame? Please say yes.
Her sin shouldn't be considered as bad as Cersei's, so I doubt we get a walk of shame.
First off lying to protect her brother isn't the same as incest and giving berth to bastard kings
Second, if I remember correctly she gets out with doing a walk of shame and is severely brainwashed and all the Tyrells get the hell out and head back to Highgarden.

Really not a fan of the sparrow storyline. It seems so insequentual at this point and seems kind of dumb that a couple dudes in robes and hammers are able to subdue a kingdom full of at morning Knights

i think that's b/c the show has done a bad job of fully showing how pissed off the masses of KL are right now
i'm also going to copy/paste 2 things i said in the Hodor thread that i feel strongly about:

i was thinking last night during the episode that i think one of the big issues with the presentation and drama is the lack of political intrigue in king's landing. in seasons 2-4 (by far the best glut of the series) that was the "home base" for the drama and the rest was ancillary
that has been replaced by the religious drama and cersei's story almost exclusively and i think that just hurts the overall structure
the political conflict was the backbone of the overall story and now it's much more fractured...in westeros. in essos, there is political conflict in mireen, but frick danny's story although i guess removing her from mireen could make it better, so we'll see)

season 5 and that episode just feel like completely different series. it's like the POV has zoomed onto characters instead of the larger conflict (which you and i both agree with, per earlier discussions), while kind of shading the LARGE conflict (walkers)

I agree they brought the sprarrows out of nowhere
I remember the season 5 previously on recap bringing up Lancel, and going "WHO THE frick CARES ABOUT LANCEL LANNISTER"
I was full hodor

yeah i think they tried to cut corners and make you think that the couple of riots and Shame! scene shows the anger, but since both involve complete assholes taht everyone hated (geoff/cersei), it wasn't really effective imho. i believe the faith militant have power b/c the masses support them

there is a pretty popular theory that would make the sparrows and the High Septon a lot more intriguing
Posted on 4/25/16 at 3:23 pm to Salmon
Its a pretty lame theory and it doesnt really make it that much more interesting imo

I saw that post in the hodor thread and wanted to comment but couldn't.
The interesting part of story has shifted north, both in the book and on the show.
Dany is even further from Westros than ever before and no one cares about Dorne.
Also its hard to care about the south when you know what is beyond the wall.

If it's about HS=HR you're wrong that's an awesome theory.

what exactly does it effect? he would still be an a-hole that wants the church in charge. It wouldnt have the effect most people hope that it would
Posted on 4/25/16 at 3:28 pm to Salmon
I like that theory but it's solely based on descriptions from the book of a man that Brienne saw walking to KL in the Riverlands
I wouldn't put much stock in it.

The evidence is weak and doesnt really make sense

It's almost 100% false but the fact that HR could take down the crown by himself would be amazing
Posted on 4/25/16 at 3:30 pm to wildtigercat93
If HS is HR then it would mean the North got revenge on all the ruling powers in KL. It would be awesome.

Gendry is now Ser Gendry is knight of the hollow something. He is a member of the brotherhood without banners and follows Tyros of Myr.
The last time he was mentioned was when he saved Briene's life by killing Biter at the Crosroads Inn.

The north gets revenge by being blasphemous to their own religion for years and then pulling an okie doke at the last minute? Doesnt seem very satisfying. Especially in context of the show

I don't even give a frick about spoilers anymore. I see something like HS=HR and don't know what it means, I Google/wiki the hell out of it.
I didnt read the books, but that theory kinda sounds like a stretch.
