a single thread to rule them all would last all of about 4 posts before fricking chaos, anger, and a new non-reader thread being made

So true. It's funny just thinking about it.

those are the Comatose Khal Drogo's. All they do is watch the show, and don't give it another thought until next Sunday. They never rewatch the episode, they never search for more info, nothing. They just post the dumbest questions on the Hodor thread like, "remind me who Bran is".

As opposed to the dorks that probably dress up for fantasy shows and go to conventions for them.

It's not nearly as entertaining as I thought it would be. There are a few moments though.

Good thing I'm easily entertained.

How can you not care enough about a show to read/research about it, yet still care enough about a show to post on a message board about it ?

Seriously?

A message board is like having a conversation in a bar.

Do you research everything you care enough to talk about?

I'm starting to realize some of the GOT crowd are basically the characters from Big Bang Theory.

Pretty much

I certainly don't get mad when someone gives me more information on a topic that I'm interested in.

edit: I just like talking about it. I don't really care where all these people are from and what war started what controversy. If it was real, as in actual history, it would be different.

I just figure I've got enough real stuff that I have to know so I don't worry about where Davos is from.

BTW, who is this Bran guy you are talking about?

Game of Thrones history is taught at some schools in Colorado.

I just noticed the quote marks around son for Jon Snow: Bastard "son" of Lord Stark.

I'd just like to note, the episode made Ser Davos even more awesome than the portrayal of him in the books.

Davos will likely have absolutely nothing to do with Jon Snow's ressurection in the books.

On the show the Kingdoms of Westeros- heavy is the head that wears the crown, seems like most of the kingdoms are in turmoil. Which one would you chose?

King's Landing- 14 year old King, (which is twice his age in the books),a Baratheon by name, and his Queen is in prison

Dragonstone- held by Stannis' forces, who was killed off two episodes ago

Storm's End- held by Stannis' forces, who was killed off two episodes ago

The Vale- held by House Arryn 10 year old sickly boy, who defers to his stepfather who is in KL

Winterfell held by House Bolton, Lord Bolton was killed last night along with his wife and new born

Dorne coup, Prince Doran was killed off along with his heir previous episode

Highgarden House Tyrell, Lord Mace is in KL, his heir in jail

Iron Islands Lord Greyjoy, killed off last night. His brother has announce their will be a kingsmoot

Castley Rock House Lannister, Kevan Lannister who is in KL

Riverrun House Frey? Or is Blackfish Tully waiting for Jamie to get back from Doran?

well considering there are 7 kingdoms and over 2 episodes, 3 rules have been killed, that creates a big of instability

I hate that he was killed yes. But let him stay dead just like everyone else. Don't make him special. frick why don't we bring Ned back as well?

Henry Jones, Jr - I join you in this regard. If the power to resurrect anyone has existed all along (and I remember that the Hound "slew" someone who "came back to life"), then let's just resurrect all of the good guys. This Jon Snow thing is hokey. He should not have been killed in the first place, if the intention was to give his body the special privilege of defeating death. Now, that this has been done, once, it should be done repeatedly to all favored characters in the future. (Well, maybe that will happen, after all, right?) [Not an implied spoiler. I'm just being sarcastic.]

He had to die so he could get out of his oath to the Wall.
