Do you really think the readers care enough to defend you? I'd say probably not, but hey at least you opened the door for them to come right back in the thread.

No, you're right. Again, there's no real way to have this discussion without readers tossing out spoilers.

As in the spoilers you just admitted to knowing therefore making your knowledge base different than the iluvs cocos and stus.

No there really is no way for you to prove that you haven't read any of the books.

No, I'd say they have also heard more that they'd like to from the people on this site.

I'd like to get a clarification from Coco on this one and I'll happily back out once again.

You said this in the reader thread:

quote:

I do know more than I should because of spoilers I've heard in a couple of different places (I know what happens but now how or why), but I avoid those topics when they are discussed.

And the whole reason readers are not allowed in this thread are because we have knowledge of future events (via the book) and our knowledge is now "tainted" so we can't have a discussion with someone who has "just" watched the show because of that (which is fine and I've gladly stayed out up to this point after the whole episode before last debacle out of respect for that).

If you know major spoilers, isn't you "guessing" all throughout this thread doing exactly what those who haven't read spoilers/have no book knowledge don't want? How do they know you're not just trying to steer them in a certain direction and that you're legitimately avoiding those subjects?

That is one of the major reasons we don't need readers posting in here.

No, it's because you read the book.

Congrats, Blue. The Others will find you on book release day. Good luck.

It's been derailing since the start of the season. It's like a bunch of petulant kids.

No, she's in Slaver's Bay. It's a place across the Narrow Sea and really far from Westeros. Imagine Slaver's Bay as where the Red Sea is (and roughly in culture) and Westeros being America.

And yeah, guess this is a spoiler. frick it if anyone thinks it is.

I had the same question earlier in the thread. I don't think it's a spoiler. I figured she's still pretty far away until she gets in the mix.

Don,

She's in Astapor... a long way west of Westeros, by the Red Waste.

That better not be considered a spoiler. It's a map. And, in the opening credits, you can see how far away Astapor is from Westeros.
