Nah...had to look it up, but it's this one. Freemake Free Video Converter (I guess that's the name)? It's fairly fast and works really well so far.

This is the little blurb on that link:

IVI is great for converting movies too. You can do batches and it seems to be much faster than Handbrake. Even pulls metadata info, so when you pull it up on your Apple TV, it looks like you purchased it from the store.

There is a trial, but I think it is worth every bit of $10.

Another app I would suggest is Air Video for iOS. $3, and you can stream any video files from a folder on your computer to your iOS device, or play on an Apple TV through Airplay. It does live conversions too. You can even set it up to stream over the Internet. Might be the most valuable app I ever purchased.

Another awesome way to watch some of these is if you have a Xbox 360, just copy the file to a USB drive and play it on there. I haven't run into a video format that it has trouble playing.

My TV plays anything straight from a USB. Don't even need the Xbox.

And the XB1 doesn't play shite from USB drives (yet). Those drives only support like 3 or 4 specific items as of now.

My TV has a USB port as well, but it wouldn't recognize the movies I had on a jump drive...I'm assuming it was in the wong format or whatever, and it was just too wasy to hook an HDMI cable to my TV/computer and play it that way.

Stout, what brand of TV do you have? And what kind of file should I convert to in order to get it to paly on my TV (panasonic)? I googled that the other day and got a ton of shite I had no idea what kind it was telling me.
