Too bad most of them would get you banned.

Watched Lone Survivor in HD on my 65" plasma a week before it comes out in theaters (though HD screener copies are rare from what I understand).

if i'm not mistaken, the Lone Survivor screener wasn't HD, or at least it didnt seem like it to me

i assume this is the one with the warning on the bottom that pops up a few times?

That's the one I saw. I'm not sure if it was true HD, but it looked like it to me. Not 1080p or anything, but one of the best screeners I've seen in respect to video quality.

Honestly, I've never had a problem using my go-to public site(kat.ph). To be safe I scan everything with my antivirus program before using it, but I've never gotten a virus(:knocksonwood:).

What private site do you use? What's the biggest difference between it and free sites?

iptorrents

i'm not that familiar with the difference, but i know the private sites require you to keep a good DL/UL ratio, and they will quickly ban you users for doing anything fishy

i'm sure most stuff that shows up on the private sites shows up on the public ones about the same time, and vice versa

How do you get the torrent file to your TV? Talk to me like I'm a caveman.

Also, how do I get an invite?

Download utorrent. It's a free software

Go to kat.ph and find what you want to download. For wolf of Wall Street, click the link and then click download torrent.

That file will then automatically be moved to utorrent where it will begin to download. When it is done downloading it will most likely be .avi or mp4 format.

Then download VLC media player which is also free. That will be able to play pretty much any file.

Then all you have to do is hook you tv up to your computer with an hdmi cable and play the movie in vlc. That easy

I'll try out transmission on my Mac. I've had utorrent forever and it seems to work fine for me

I just DL'd a video converter software instead. Can convert to about 15+ different formats (including for phones/tablets, Xbox, etc.). Works pretty well.

I only really use it though when I want to convert avi/mkv to mp4 so I can move it to my iTunes for Apple tv
