Yeah, i saw that online. I did not pick that up on that at all with that scene if that's what they were going for.

She left the root cellar, found the mom, got pushed through the tree and I guess escaped, got adopted, and grew up without memories of this place. Now her and Victor are getting their memories back at the same time. Could be way off tho.
Oh, I like that one a lot. Could be. And I guess it would make sense if she remembers this place from her childhood that instead of dreams it was actually something that happened to her IRL. I don't think we've gotten much (if any) backstory on Tabitha and her family really either. I'm not sure I got that vibe from the last couple minutes of the episode though, so if that's what they are going for then they missed me on that. But that certainly could be possible and I like that theory a lot.

It is absolutely weird how this show is trying its very best to make Kristi as ugly and meh as possible. Her haircut bothers me every time she's onscreen.
Surely that has to be the actress right? She was attractive in the first season. Looking at some pictures it looks like the actress is just a bit odd with her fashion choices.

But at least he went to Randall and asked normal questions instead of his usual tough guy routine. And now he's all in on Tabitha figuring shite out. Good.
My wife literally commented "uh oh Macho Man" lol but I was happy to see he was actually trying to figure shite out rather than attacking people.

Sara hearing voices and she's telling Boyd and Ellis. And Boyd is telling Donna all about it. frickING SHARING INFORMATION. Yay.
I suspect Ellis will figure out Elgin's secret pretty quickly.
I'm not sure if you saw the promo for next week but it looks like Boyd, Donna, Ellis, Kenny, Acosta, and Sara all corner Elgin in Colony House. My first thought was I wonder if the voices tell Sara that Elgin had something to do with it? Or if Ellis just puts two and two together, like you said.

Julie is telling Tabitha what she saw. Tabitha is telling her about the kid she sees. I'm glad so many people sharing information. Maybe we can advance things now.
Julie, Tabitha, and Victor are all by the cellar. Do they draw more people there after what happened to Tabitha?

So Smiley is the one that killed Victor's mom. I wonder if there is any significance to that or if they just brought him back since he's been the most prominent monster.
And did you notice that he “ran” to catch her? They never run. Even when only 10 feet away.
They actually mention this in S1.
I thought it was interesting

It worries me that they just now renewed it.
They should cap the series right now and contract with the showrunners so that everyone involved knows when it will end and in how many episodes. That way it can move toward a conclusion/resolution. But it kinda bugs me that had they not renewed it we could be staring down the barrel of a S3 finale and then never revisit the show again. That would have sucked bad.

What happened to Elgin's cut?

Whew boy. Just finished. Gonna need some time to digest all of that. What a finish.

i am just speechless how people are enjoying this utter train reck of a season. this is an abomination to television.
that annoying white ambulance chick showing up to save Elgin was an all time low.....the writers of this show must have double digit IQs, its the only explanation.
i'm floored this crap got renewed for another season....crap gets rewarded now apparently.

Can someone please explain to me what happened after the violin playing at the bottle tree?

I felt it was inevitable since it’s pretty much all MGM+ has. My main concern is dragging this to a minimum of 2026 for the next season. It’s just not that good of show to make us wait so long.

My take is that it called the children thus unlocking Tabitha and Jade’s memories. This pissed off the night creatures so they are lashing out.

Holy shite, this season finale was crazy! I called the baby being smiley way back when she first got pregnant.
Sarah doing what needs to be done!
Eloise is alive in my opinion, because it’s been hinted at too many times that there was no confirmation she was dead.
Jim cracked the code so man in yellow couldn’t have that.
Season 4 is going to be balls to the walls crazy

I’m not sure what you want the show to be. I enjoyed the finale. I do wish things would’ve started rolling a little sooner in the episode but once they did in the last 15 minutes or so it was pretty crazy. My thoughts as I was watching:
“I should have died that night too. And you should pretend that I did. You don’t have to be my dad anymore.” Yikes.
I’m sort of surprised Boyd followed through with torturing Elgin. And of course lady cop shows up to frick things up.
Elgin, I’ve got bad news. Sara isn’t there to help, bruh.
“She’s in the root cellar.” And it only cost Elgin an eye.
That trap door when Jade played the music was creepy as shite.
I guess Boyd is about to die. That sucks.
Wow I wasn’t expecting Smiley to be reborn. I was expecting her to maybe birth another anghkooey pale kid.
So I guess Boyd doesn’t die and just witnesses another monster being created (or I guess replaced since it was Smiley).
Anghkooey = remember
Tabitha and Jade have been there before.
Tabitha = Miranda
Jade = Christopher
Jade and Tabitha were “here in the beginning.” Tried to save “the children” and one of them was their daughter (!). Damn. I wonder what the beginning is/was/means. And when that actually was.
What the frick is going on?
Julie pops up…..different. Her hair is not only a lot shorter but it’s black now when it was long and brown in the diner with Ethan. Change the story? Ethan said she can’t change the story. But he’s a dipshit so who knows.
Ok so Jim dies. Thank God someone important finally does. And the guy (?) that kills him was the same one that warned him about Tabitha digging on the radio from S1. Hmmm.

Yeah that’s the simplest explanation I think. They definitely pissed this place off by figuring out a little piece of it. The only thing that annoys me about that is that if Jade and Jim connected and talked sooner they could’ve solved it quicker.
So is the weird ghost lady sort of a go between between the town and the monsters? Because she can be out during the day apparently, and also accesses the monsters down in the tunnels. Also it was daytime and they weren’t sleeping. I guess due to the ritual thing of Smiley being reborn or whatever.
Things I’d like some explanation on:
- Jade and Tabitha backstory, obviously. And why/how she “was Miranda” and Jade “was Christopher.” And why or how they’ve come back over and over.
- the pale kids.
- the Polaroids. It was showing Elgin things around town but actually showed Boyd his real world house.
- the bottle tree numbers. Did the kids put them there? Seems like others may have and not the kids.
- what this place is obviously.
- what the visions really are.
Color me disappointed that neither Fatima nor Ethan got killed.
Ole Jim could’ve survived if he’d have just listened to Julie and fricking ran like he was supposed to.
S4 may very well be of the rails stupid, but I’m all the way here for it. This is my favorite current TV show. And I’m satisfied enough with this finale. I just hope they wrap the show up in one or two more seasons and we don’t get it dragged out to make money for MGM.

I felt like some big things happened last night, but I still feel more confused now. So Julie can walk through time, but she just can’t change anything; then how did she throw the rope down to Boyd?

Because she always did. Boyd previously used the rope. They are clearly using their old LOST logic.

My take:
As per the story, I think the writers replaced Jim with Jade somewhere last season because they realized Jade had a crazy high Q-rating and Jim wasn’t as popular. There is too much backstory between them “not saving Thomas” together that points to that.
Elois may return and it may be revealed she was the daughter Tabitha and Jade were trying to save “back then”
The x-factor is the Polaroid woman, she may be Elois or the daughter.
The numbers being music was money and a great explanation. The fact Jade already knew the music means he may have been the one to place the bottles there which explains why he was obsessed with it.
Now that we know Tabitha is Victor’s mom, I wonder if she may consider banging Victor’s dad. At least my initial thoughts about her being his mom were correct, I had considered her being his sister for a while.
Now that the “reincarnation” card has been pulled the next question becomes obvious:
Who is Boyd, why is he so important, and is he the father of the boy in white?

I'm okay with them shifting to Jade. He's great and Jim sucks. So tying that into the whole "reincarnation" angle would work. It does seem a little strange to me that Tabitha seemed to insinuate that she and Jade keep coming back here to save the children, yet this time they arrived separately and with her in different relationship/marriage.
It just hit me that Julie will struggle with all the shite she's been dealing with, and now having watched her dad brutally murdered.

I'm missing what you're getting at with that. Please explain.
quote:

It could be.
Although I am still unsure of how the reincarnation thing would work. Miranda was a legit human being in the real world, and so is Tabitha. Not sure how they reconcile Tabitha "being" Miranda. Or are they saying that when Miranda died, Tabitha was born (in the real world) and was the new version of Miranda? I think I am confusing myself a bit.
quote:

I'm interested to see what they do with her. I thought she would be a small side part, but with this new Elgin shite and then her birthing a new monster from Fatima, she is front and center. And also the polaroid camera thing plays into it as well. Like I said earlier, I'd like some information about that thing because it is now showing real world shite (Boyd and Abby's real house).

Could be. Either him or the children knowing that he would eventually figure it out. It would suck for Jade to continuously be thrown into this town and have to sort of figure things out from scratch every time though. And him being Christopher isn't a good sign because according to Victor Christopher is the one who led to everyone in the town being killed when he was a kid.
quote:
Now that we know Tabitha is Victor’s mom, I wonder if she may consider banging Victor’s dad.
Poor Henry. Dude is struggling big time and could use some butt for sure.
quote:

Why would you connect him to the BiW? I'm not sure they have anything to do with each other. But who Boyd ultimately is is a good question. Of all the characters, I'd love some backstory on Boyd almost the most.
I didn't say this in my initial post about this episode, but I really liked Father Khatri's interactions with Boyd this episode. He kept him in check and was slinging truthbombs at him over and over. I do wish Khatri was still around on the show (and it seems like the showrunners sort of do too as they keep bringing him back).
I was really hoping that the "baby" Fatima gave up was going to grow into a monster and make her a new monster. Like maybe that's one way that people there become monsters. But alas, that wasn't in the cards. I do like Smiley being back though.
