I think ole girl waking up in the hospital kind of killed that possibility. oh shite, i had already forgotten that ending. I'm going to have to do a recap this weekend.

I was telling my wife it was coming back Sunday and had to remind her of the ghost kid pushing the wife out of the lighthouse and her waking up in a hospital in another town. Probably watch a YouTube recap video of season 2 before Sunday.

Man, all y’all talking about waiting until after the season to sign up and binge it….frick all that. Sign up now so you can discuss it with us in the season thread instead of it being so dead and slow every season.

I am glad that people seem to slowly be getting onto this show though. It deserves a larger audience.

I binged the first two seasons a few weeks ago and love it, excited for the new season. I will be watching week to week

I plan on watching the S2 finale and S3E1 tonight and will discuss in the morning (unless I just need to do it once I’ve seen it ).

Yeah this can be the discussion thread. That’s how we usually do it. Talk is so few and far between we usually just have a season discussion thread and not week to week ones.

Also. Per usual the first three episodes are available on demand. frick. I’m gonna try my best to not watch ahead but that’s gonna be hard.

S3E1

I always wonder why they don’t just take the whole town and try to move the tree in the road. Just to see what happens when you drive past it.

Also wonder why they don’t send someone trekking out every day. Go out in straight lines in every direction and try to map it. The tunnels, the ruins of the church thing with the music box, the talisman hut, the car storage area, the lighthouse, this new place Jim and Kenny found with the huts, etc. shave it properly mapped and gather information. May also stumble upon some food source or other resources.

Jesus, this little frick Ethan is gonna bitch and shine about his fricking goat some more? There’s a food shortage, padna. Get over yourself for half a second and shut the frick up. God I hate that little idiot.

I’m a little annoyed with Tabitha and how little she is trying to do. Also I assume she’s gonna fine Victor’s mother at some point since it’s logical that she made it out of that place too when she went to the lighthouse.

Nope. She found his father. Not sure why but I thought his dad was in the hell place with them. Maybe I’m misremembering.

Oh please God let Ethan bite it. Please.

Could they walk the animals back any slower?

Well shite. Kenny’s mom is gonna die I bet.

Oh shite. This got twisted and went sideways fast. Kenny is gonna be furious. Damn, that was brutal. Those things set a trap and everyone fell right into it.

All in all they all have to be smarter than that. Especially Boyd.

Great start to the season. Now I just have to try to keep myself from watching the next two episodes that are on demand already.

Because this show is perfectly built to make you pull your hair out. frick. The end of that first episode got me so mad haha.

They clearly laid a trap for you sheriff but of course you went out there..

Ethan has to GO. “I’m gonna go outside!”

Julie! Why are you not watching your stupid a-hole little brother??

I hate and love this show. Great first episode of the season.

The more I’m thinking about this the more I’m thinking his mother did make it back and is alive and in some institution or some shite like that. Like I bet she made it back to the town and told her husband what happened and he called the cops and had her committed…and maybe even charged with Victor’s murder since to the outside world he’s simply a missing child who was last seen with his mother. But I’m guessing Tabitha will find the mom and they’ll somehow put clues together about where and what this place may be.

And I assume S3 will end with communication/connection somehow being established between the real world and the hell place. (And if anybody knows any spoilers, please don’t confirm or deny that…this thread isn’t for that).

I know there was a scene in the trailer where the phone in Jim’s house rings and he picks up, my assumption was it was the mystery dude from S1 that he spoke to over the radio, but now I’m wondering if Tabitha finds a way to connect

I still feel like the old lady from the bus is more than she appears. She seemed really bizarre last season, and I think the fact she showed up in Elgin's dream (and was able to see the ghost he sees) is more than coincidence. I just get a weird vibe from her.

Need to rewatch S3E1. Everything that has held me transfixed on what is going on is still there. WTF is this place? I feel better about mom waking in the hospital since she saw the boy in white…in the real world?

My first impulse was to hate the Save the Animals scene. It felt at first like a hide behind the chainsaws moment. But as it played out, it was damn near perfect for this show. The Town provided the animals. But when Boyd challenged it claiming they couldn’t break him, it proved him wrong.

I want to know WTF is going on. If a show uses mystery box plot, it has to be great. And From is great tv.

Pretty sure the tree only appears the one time to get you into the town. Otherwise when they are driving in circles they would be encountering the tree each time.

When good question I read is how do the monsters know Boyd made the "this town can't break us" speech? Hopefully there's something to that and it's not just a loose thread.

Mom waking up in the hospital gave me pause. I so hope the show runners stick the landing. It will suck if the reason they are stuck in the town is lame.
It’s lost part 2.

Whoever or whatever is controlling this place obviously controls it well. It’s one of the things that lead you down the “this is some elaborate experiment” rabbit hole. But this place (at least so far) has supernatural elements to it, so it’s not farfetched that all aspects of it would know that he said that.

If it is someone pushing the buttons and controlling things, obviously they are creating situations where the food supplies are drained, weather gets worse, etc., to frick over the people. I suspect at some point Boyd may have a mea culpa moment and things will return to normal.
