Did Coach Taylor ever actually teach a class? He seemed to have the greatest gig of all-time. He gets to coach football and do nothing else at the school.

they never showed him teach, but i believe at one point he said something about having to get to class or grading papers.

They made him the AD at some point.
How he got away with not teaching something in season 4 and 5 is puzzling though.

Oh yeah, forgot.
If it went one more season, she'd probably end up Chariman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or something.

Made perfect sense for the character, and he was done with Dillon, with all they put him through.
Posted on 6/18/12 at 4:03 pm to Fearthehat0307
He would shine as a coach in PA also, that is serious HS football territory.

i thought it was an honorable move.
he did all he could do in dillon, and it was tami's turn (in her words).

When he gave up coaching College in season 2 that was the end of the road for his career advancement.
His options were support his wife, or win more state titles. He'd already won 2 in totally different environments, there was nothing left for him to accomplish.

He won 2 state titles?
I don't recall 2. I know I'm probably wrong.
(unless the hail mary at the end in the finale...was it ever stated they won that?)
My memory sux.

they showed vince at practice the following season with a ring on.
basically it was implied they won.

Ok, whew.
I wonder if they lost, would that have affected Coach's decision?
Like, he had unfinished business or something.
Probably not.
Coach is honorable people.
ETA: I thought that whole thing about NOT showing the final play, was absolutely unique and brilliant.
