I don't consider Narcos, Stranger Things, or this show to look like they were made by college film students.

Great trailer, really nailed the character. But does it really need to be so violent? I was hoping to watch this with my kids.

Is this separate from DD and the MCU? They showed his wife getting shot in the head at home instead of his family getting killed in the park like in every Punisher story.

...Yes.
And I bet it still has nothing on The Punisher 2004 series under the MAX line when it comes to violence (specifically the Slavers arc).

This better be good or I may be done with Netflix Marvel shows. Other than DD they have all been bad. Punisher was great in DD season 2 though and I have high hopes for this show.

So I can probably watch this with my son then? I'll just send him out of the room whenever the shooting and punching starts. Looking forward to this one.

ETA but I won't let my wife know about it, so I may come back and edit these later so she doesn't figure it out.

DareDevil's ex secretary is in the series. I assume she's going to be his conscience and tie to humanity. I just hope she's not as annoying about it as Rosario Dawson has been.

The shows have generally been as good as the villains. It'd be hard to have a great villain every season so maybe what they need to do is tell some stories from the villain's perspective. Give us a season of Kingpin show him dealing with rival crime bosses, politicians, police, and the occasional vigilante in tights. That's about what half of DD Season 1 was anyway and that's a big part of why it was good.

It is part of the DD universe. I assume that was a dream.

Nightmare sequence.

The main antagonist is Billy Russo per the casting sheet, played by Ben Barnes.

I liked The Punisher in DD2 but Im worried about this. Im tired of these shows having some evil corporation/government agency/crime syndicate as the main villain and the figure head having no depth to the character.

Thats why DD1 and Jessica Jones worked so well. They actually had bad guys that brought something to the table.

Paul Schultze's character, William Rawlins, is a reoccurring Punisher villain, but he's not the main bad guy. This guy is.

I'm thinking we're gonna binge it when he comes home for Thanksgiving break, hopefully his mom doesn't catch us. Really looking forward to this one.
