He walked in the desert for 40 years! I'm surprised he survived. Probably arrived in Judea looking like a hairy skeleton.

I'd like to see them do a take on the "Israelites as a mercenary force which rebelled" theory. (At least I'm pretty sure I read a theory like that somewhere )

I still say "The Prince of Egypt" is the best the Exodus story has been put to film. It's better than "The Ten Commandments". Yeah, I said it, and it would be agreed if Disney had instead made it.

I thought Russell Crowe has the part?

He's playing Noah in Darren Aronofsky's new film. I'm looking forward to that one more compared to this one. Ridley Scott needs to earn my trust back.

Uhhh...why does Moses have a bow and arrow? He was a shepherd. He would have a stick and a sling

Moses only existed as a 60 year old man.

He wasn't in the desert until after he was 40.

HC did a 2 hour show on treating the Exodus as a military campaign. Really good show if you ever catch it.

Is Bale seriously not even going to get airbrushed? He looks ridiculously European.

Yeah...read Exodus 3:1...he was a shepherd for Jethro's flocks in the wilderness by Horeb for 40 years after fleeing Egypt (in the very wilderness he would later shepherd the "flock" of Israel for 40 years). Moses was being prepared and he didn't even know it.

The "staff" Moses would be holding in Exodus 4:1 is a simple Shepherding stick.

That is one reason for the theological shepherding idea found all throughout scripture.
