People Magazine story.

quote:

The biopic begins right after John F. Kennedy's assassination, says Roach. "It covers the amazing 11-month journey from when LBJ takes office after JFK's assassination, through LBJ's fight to pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act and his own presidential campaign, culminating on the night LBJ is actually elected to the office – no longer the 'accidental President.' "

All the Way airs in 2016 on HBO.

That's a damn fine makeup job, no doubt.

That is fricking awesome work. Hopefully the makeup isn't distracting in high definition live action.

Back when he was Hal trying to keep his insane wife and weird arse kids in check, I wonder if you told people that he'd be the centerpiece of one of the greatest dramas ever on TV as a meth kingpin and now take on a role as President LBJ what they would say?

What an incredible transformation.

They did a good job in the details of his facial features, such as the wrinkles, ears, nose, glasses. That's about as much as you can make Cranston look like LBJ.

My first thought was, they nailed the ears. Second was, that could be Kevin Kline.

Hope he gets to do LBJ's phone call to his tailor.

LBJ and Nixon were these two crazy, Shakespearean figures driven and destroyed by ambition and will from almost nothing its kind of crazy that there hasn't been a great miniseries about either of them.
