I definitely conflated the Martian protagonist with the former baseball player. I had a very confused “I’m dumb” realization when I heard “Ryland” again.

Saw it in the theater this afternoon. If they would make more movies like this, my arse would go to the movies WAY more often. Loved it! Didn’t love that I forgot to bring Kleenex.
