I put off watching it for fifteen years and to be honest, I wish I had waited at least another fifteen.

It was such a try hard overly dark and depressing movie. Everything just had to be soooo serious the whole time, probably to appeal to the no fun types who pride themselves on historical accuracy and depression. Two and a half hours of delusion, paranoia, and suicide?, no thank you. That time would be much better spent watching Hogan’s Hero’s reruns.

People have been raving about how good and dark this movie is for fifteen years and it turns out, I have different (and better) taste than the masses.

I know life, is ain’t all funs though, I don’t think there is any reason to be intentionally depressing.

Yeah why couldn’t they show all the fun times in the last days of the Fuhrer Bunker? You know, before the cyaniding of the children and the suicides?

I’m sure there were lots of laughs.

A movie about hitlers last days in a bunker is dark and depressing? Get out

And I don’t think this movie appeals to the masses so maybe your taste isn’t quite what you think it is

So, you think that a story, from the German participants' persective, of Berlin's final days of World War II is somehow "intentionally" depressing?

In any event, it is one of the best foreign language films on the conflict I have ever seen.

Check out “Look Who’s Back.” Perfect Hitler movie for you. A real palate cleanser of a movie after that Debbie Downfall darkness.

This is either a terrible troll or perhaps the worst MTVB take since the Jo Jo Rabbit take.

Given that the last two and a half weeks in that bunker was nothing but delusion, paranoia, and suicide (really fun when it came to Goebbels‘ kids), seems like they nailed it.

Whatever you do, please don't watch Come and See. If you think Downfall is depressing, you'll likely commit suicide after watching the former.

You and Saint Alfonzo should fight.

He doesn't like his Hitler too light and you don't like yours too dark.

It’s one of the best war movies ever made.

Incredible acting and insight.

I probably learned more actual WW2 history from Downfall than any other movie ever.

What? Some really, really pissed off Russians are within a few hundred yards of you and you think Hitler would be like this?

You know someone could take a few clips from that movie, put phony sub-titles on them and it would be a hoot to watch.

If you want mindless, nonsensical entertainment, stick with Marvel movies.

If you want realism and a true historical perspective...nevermind. Thats obviously not what you wanted.

Pretty good meme of Hitler Reacting to LSU loss to Troy

One I did about ten years ago using stills from the movie and voice over Hitler Rants about Bama Fans on SEC Rant

Did you think a movie called Downfall was going to be about being on top of the world?

He thinks Jojo Rabbit Hitler is a little bit country and you think Downfall Hitler is a little bit rock and roll.
