No one has mentioned the fake trailers before the film started? Those set the stage for the movie. I thought they were awesome.

I watched it about two days ago and had a similar reaction. Nobody else thought the movie was eerily ironic (for most of those actors)?

Watched it last night, and to be honest, I thought Simple Jack looked like it would have been a better movie than Tropic Thunder.
The "full retard" lines were by far the comedic peak.

Cruise had the funniest part of the movie.

Besides Tom Cruises rants and a few other scenes, this movie was highly overrated. Ben Stiller is the worst actor on the planet. It took Jack Black & RDJ to really keep this movie from being a complete flop.

Finally watched it. It definitely had its moments
Downey jr when he smacked the rapper for saying **** was great as was the full on retard stuff.

Easily the best part is when they are discussing a plan to break ben stiller out of the heroin plant and kevin is asking them if they read the script and robert downey yells "WHATCHU TALKIN' ABOUT WITH THE SCRIPT-BOOK SPIT THAT shite OUT, MAN!" and he just stares at him with a half-way smile smirk creepy looking face

I watched it this weekend......I thought it was very decent. Not hilarious or anything....but definately entertaining. Downey, Cruise, and McConaughey were all money......but Downey was in a league all by himself......he made the movie. "We cool?"
