Dick move to post spoiler images in here.
And that’s not Superman’s son. It’s a character from the comics that evidently is a plot revelation.

You know what? Hell yeah. Why not?

Not really feeling the vibe of the trailer. I liked the more serious tone of Man of Steel, and this seems like the exact opposite.

I will still be there opening day but these trailers haven’t gotten me pumped to see it like the man of steel trailer. This seeems stupid and not aww inspiring that I want to get from a living god.

Maybe they should do a Kingdom Come with Henry Cavil Superman as a send off to that old DC universe.
They can’t hope to top Aquaman’s brother eating a cockroach sandwich as a perfect summarization of the Snyderverse.

I can't tell if Gunn is just a legit nerd who loves including obscure comic book characters in his movies. Or if believing he can make a blockbuster featuring a lot of unusual characters is a form of hubris.
FWIW Gunn isn't totally oblivious to star power. While Guardians of the Galaxy features unknown characters he countered that obscurity with the famous actors he chose (Cooper, Diesel, Zoe).
Maybe he views the Superman and Luther primary characters as basic enough to allow him to feature a bunch of others people have never heard of before.

The image is literally taken from the trailer, so take your BS elsewhere. Should we not discuss a random green baby showing up?

And no one said it was Superman's son. He's green
So much wrong in one post.

Stop talking about it, nobody wants plot details

I imagine it's a mix of both. He did turn a racoon with an attitude and a talking tree into the breakout characters in a huge box office franchise, so you can kinda see where that makes your head get swollen.

I heard a rumor that Lois might find out Superman’s true identity.

No H.C. - No care.
Will not see.
Will not see.

I'll probably go see it. I haven't been to the theaters in years, and would like a fun movie to watch.

The gurus at boxofficetheory say presales are already trending towards a 20 mil opening Thursday night. Strong start. The Batman, as a comparison, opened at 21.6 which turned out to be an OW of 134 mil.

I got an Amazon preview ticket and a Dolby screening for that Saturday. Didn’t want to run into any spoilers waiting

Where’d you see that? I can’t find it on their twitter which is small.
It did break the first day ticket sales for the year already with just those Amazon special screenings while the others were wide release.

The website is boxofficetheory.com. it's a movie site with math nerds that track this stuff in detail. They're legit
Posted on 6/12/25 at 5:45 pm to RLDSC FAN
Yeah I don’t see a Thursday estimate anywhere on there, they did publish that 150-175mm number previously

Just saw an interview with James Gunn that says that in this universe, superheroes have been around for 300 years.
