I hear you. I loved the Silver Surfer, I don't understand the gender change.
Btw, does anyone remember Breathless with Richard Gere? I still remember (along with the hot chick in the movie, lol) when Gere was reading a Silver Surfer comic book and some punk kid told him "Silver Surfer sucks".

I noticed they are trying to do the bait and switch after their audience review bomb. How Mr Fantastic , Thing and Johnny barely did anything and it is just girl Silver Surfer , Sue Storm and their baby saving the day.

I really wanted to be hyped for this movie. I hope it's great because the MCU will be dead forever if they can't nail F4 or the X-Men, but gender swapping Norrin Radd and giving the Thing a beard are both very bad signs.

He's not as well known as Wolverine or Spider-Man, but some of the target audience were raised on Galactus as the Big Bad in some of those PS4 games, as well as he was the critical figure in Fortnite changing seasons- and anyone who knows how big that phenomenon has been will know this to be true.

My kids have been playing fotnight for the last few years. Neither of them knew who Galactus was when I asked them this morning.
Sometimes you guys think that what you see on this board is representative of the normal viewing audience, and it's just not.
The vast majority of the viewing audience for this movie is going for 10+ other reasons before Galactus, mainly b/c they have no idea who that is.

that doesn't mean anyone knows who the hell he's supposed to be, or that they've ever heard of him before, or that they are going see the movie b/c of him. And i'm assuming Galactus is a him, as i have no idea who he is and i've seen every super hero movie in the last 20 years, but I've never read a comic book in my life. I'm pretty sure he was the big cloud in the second F4 movie, but i don't even recall them saying his name in that movie.

I'm not tryign to shite on you for it, but that statement is just completely not even close to being true.
As I said before, there are probably a dozen more reasons why the average movie goer is going see this movie before Galactus, a character who is completely digital and ins't being voiced by anyone notable.
Now maybe the reason why comic book fans go see the movie is for Galactus, but the average movie goer isn't a comic book reader, and doesn't care who or what Galactus is. Maybe they will after the movie if it's any good.
