Fear the Walking Dead Finale (spoilers)

So I probably stopped watching this shitstorm of a show three seasons ago, which was probably two seasons two late. But I decided to turn in for the two part series finale.

It actually seemed to encapsulate what how terrible the show had become, with people randomly at odds for “reasons” and then getting into dire situations but people randomly showing up to save them, followed by someone else randomly showing up to create another problem,
rinse and repeat.

I guess the ending was semi-satisfying in the fact that Madison, who everyone thought died in season 4 or 5, almost died again after killing Troy, who everyone thought she had killed in season 3 or 4, but then saved everyone like she did at the end of season 4-5 when they thought she died….but she didn’t die again because her new found granddaughter saved her…..

Except, Madison’s new found granddaughter turned out not to be her granddaughter because Madisons daughter Alicia - who everyone thought died at the end of season 7, but later found out that she didn’t because she was killed later by Troy (who they thought was dead but wasn’t)…well, it turns out that Troy’s confession during his latest death that Tracy was Alicia’s daughter was a lie, but….oh what the heck, the little girl went off with her daddy’s killer anyway.

Anyway, I was late to joining the initial Walking Dead, but started this one at the beginning. I thought the first few seasons (through the dam) were good but then it went downhill. I guess I liked to see Daniel and Strand - who were terribly underused after being set up well - have a somewhat amicable parting. Daniel reunited with his cat after 8 years which was good.

I’d always heard rumors that at some point they were going to make this show the origin story for a villain in the main one. They never did. Instead, it seems like they just made a mess.
