some art is perfectly suited for a specific moment in time - socially, politically, and ideally suited for the artist’s career and medium of choice
Fawlty Towers is an ideal example, i cant begin to imagine it existing in any other era other than the mid-to-late 1970s or on any other media than half-hour sitcom television

He does stand up all the time.

I'm no stage aficionado, but doing stand-up vs a full-scale production seems different. But great. First thing I think of is Cleese.
Is his 91 yr old co-star joining the cast?

It's one of those shows "That couldn't be made today" with the woke atmosphere we are now contaminated with and feelings getting hurt at every turn.
The original show poked fun at everyone in every walk of life with Basil and his sardonic wit mocking everyone and everything at his disposal. Today's crowd are too damn touchy/feely for that kind of humor.

He is a multi-hyphenate performer.

Don't mind him...he's from Barcelona.

John Cleese's manic energy made Fawlty Towers funny. This can never be re-captured.
