I always appreciate when comedians play bit parts in dramatic movies. Their overall talents really shine.

Only The Lonely is a oft overlooked but quietly good movie.

After going back through the thread I'm a little surprised that Splash has not been mentioned. Not only do you get Candy as a horndog it has Tom Hanks back when he was still a funny man. They were also paired up in Volunteers (though that flick is decidedly lower tier for both actors)

Not sure if this is well known, but he was the voice of several characters in the animated movie, Heavy Metal. Eugene Levy was also in it.

Of course, they were together with a bunch of other well known actors in Second City Television (SCTV). I loved that show!

No love "Armed and Dangerous?" One of my faves. John Candy, Eugene Levy, Meg Ryan, and Robert Loggia. Sold flick.

Even has Jonathan Banks (Mike Ermantraut from BB and BCS)

Banks was the ultimate baddy henchman in 80s flicks remember. He WS in everything.

As for Candy, I don't know if it's possible to narrow it down, but Uncle Buck is probably his best performance. Always had a personal live for The Great Outdoors though. It fit my family perfectly.

Who's Harry Crumb is unreal too.

A person would be so fricked today if they did that to a kid.

I've seen Planes and Trains, Uncle Buck, his Western movie, Home Alone, and Summer Rental, Space Balls, Cool Runnings, Brewster's Millions, and the Great Outdoors. What's his next best movie I should watch?
