what's the difference between an incidental character and a minor character?

I’m guessing by “incidental” OP means a minor character who kind of steals the show from the main cast in the little screen time they get and incidentally become more popular than intended.

Yeah i mean you pretty much explained that perfectly.. maybe i should have said minor character.. but i felt like incidental felt more like what i was going for.. the character thats only briefly in a scene or two but steals the scene
