I like it. Jude Law sounds good. His speech mannerisms are both measured and robust, exactly as I would expect a Dumbledore in his magical prime to be.

I never got the feeling that this adventure was highly connected to Fantastic Beasts 1. Just happens to be the next sequence of events where Fantastic Beast 1 was nothing more than a 2 hour introduction to the characters that are going to be the story in 2 and 3.

Did you not see the end of the movie? They clearly went and saw him again. It was clear they weren't just going to end his story line.

I was trying to figure out exactly what it was. Definitely saw the circle and what looked like the wand. At first I thought it was just the wand, like the sign of some cult for the Elder Wand or something. Probably just Grindlewald's followers.

Honestly when she decided to bring Dumbledore out of the closet without addressing it in any of the books doesn't take away anything from the story for me.

Well, not only did the little blonde witch go see him at his shop after Newt gave him the silver...it's obvious he still has some latent memories of the event based on the shape of his pastries and the way he touched his head(?) where he had an injury when he laid eyes on the blonde.
