I think I'm going to wait this one out to binge all the episodes, but going in with really low expectations based on the previews, time since the previous season, and departures from the show.

I haven't seen any of the prior seasons, but we watched last night's premiere. I thought it was fine in a trashy kind of way. So, it was a show about high schoolers that's now turned into breaking bad. Ok, then

never seen the show, or know the people aside from Sydney - hence the 3,3a and 3b......so i likely missed something. oh well lol

I was today years old when I realized that I guess a bunch of people just start watching shows from the final season instead of the beginning.
I am genuinely curious, why wouldn't you start from the beginning? You're the third person in this thread that has done that and it's kind of blowing my mind

It's been like Breaking Bad since season 2, they just happened to be in high school. Very little of this had anything to do with high school.

I haven't done this for other shows. But the reason I've never watched Euphoria is I was never drawn to a show about fricked up highschool kids. Right or wrong (and despite emmy wins or nominations) I've never thought of if as a great show I needed to see. Going into the last season with a time jump and changing of character lives from HS to post highschool and it only being 6 episodes felt like it would be easy enough to jump in and watch. Plus it will be the in cultural show at the moment.

Haven't really discussed the episode yet so I'll see if we can get some of that going...
The beginning was so preposterous I loved it. It was clearly intentionally campy and that's one of the best things about Euphoria when it gets weird for the sake of being weird. They normally pull it off.
As someone who has lost a family member to fentanyl poising, I kind of hate to see anything portrayed lightly when it comes to that, but if the "swallowing dozens of balloons filled with fentanyl and hope one of them doesn't bust" is actually one way it is trafficked over, that is wild. I'm assuming it's true but what a freaking way to mule something, yeesh. instant death if one of them pops.
The Rue, Alamo, Laurie stuff is going to be really good I think. pretty intrigued by that story line and hopefully Rue won't be tweaked out all season and halfway gets it together. Alamo's right hand man Bishop looks like he could be a pretty good character.
I need more Maddy going forward though.

I loved seasons 1 and 2, didn't like last night's episode at all; it's like a totally different show. will still watch, but definitely not optimistic.

First full episode watch of Euphoria and that was actually pretty solid. Lot more humor than I expected. Never been that big of a fan of Zendaya, but she’s awesome in this.

Enjoyed the episode, but not nearly as mush as S1. I also have lots of questions.
1. Does it explain how far in time we are now? Is it a few years?
2. Has Rue been sober this whole time? While a drug mule?
3. Did they say if Fezz died?
4. What happened with Jules?
