Spoof movies are only good when they actually cause the audience to laugh, and that hasn't happened with them in a long time.

Yeah. It's not spoof movies. Its just the movies that are made by these guys that are so horrible. It's like they don't even try to be funny.
But spoof movies can be great. Airplane is one of my favorite movies ever. Spaceballs is pretty funny. If Princess Bride qualifies as a spoof movie that's another one of my favorites.
I will say, in my eyes, the genre started going down a bit with the Naked Gun movies. They weren't bad and are miles above the stuff these guys are putting out. But I thought they represented a decline from the high point that was Airplane.

The only one I've watched even a minute of was meet the Spartans. I watched probably 3 minutes and I was embarrassed that a movie like that could make money in this country.

Brilliant to make a spoof of these movies. The same kinda folks that like Fast and Furious movies like this junk, and you need to have seen the originals to get half of the "jokes" in the spoofs, no?

I find it odd that there is even enough money to fund these shitty movies. Who produces this crap?
