So because 4 people died in the last 10 minutes of the movie it makes it lazy writing? Were Casino and Reservoir Dogs victims of lazy writing as well? I would like to hear what ending you think would have made this movie better.

Just the way it happened. I don't know what to tell you...I didn't like it, and it took away from the movie for me. Just felt like MS was making it up to end things as fast as possible. Sort of like "Okay, then you come in and BOOM, he gets shot. Then next thing you know BOOM, you get shot. Then the guy who shoots him BOOM he's dead too. Then when we think everything is over, BOOM him too." It felt like the sequence at the abandoned building was written by a 12 year old.

It just felt rushed and weird to me, and didn't fall in line with the rest of the movie IMO. Every time I watch it, the ending bugs me. I tried to find my original posts about the ending on google, but couldn't find it.

Thanks for responding. I can see why you would think that it didn't fall in line with the rest of the movie. I was caught totally off-guard by the ending, which I found to be a unique and pleasant surprise. However, I also am not very fond of happy endings in most movies.

Nor am I, mostly. But it just felt sloppy to me. Like I said, felt like it was done by a 12 year old boy who just wanted to see everybody get shot.

And remember, I still think the movie is really good. Just not as great as it should be.

Well, to be fair, if I made Star Wars episode 1, it would have been about 15 minutes long, and it would have been better, because it would have just been this badass killing every cast member except Samuel Jackson.
