So now that it's over... did this event feel like a slow burn to a swan song for Oliver as they bring in BatWoman to fill that dark vigilante role in its absence?

I really can't see them killing off Oliver. And the Crisis is scheduled for the Fall, so it's mid-season for Arrow.

We'll have to see how the Bat-Woman series goes. The snippet we saw wasn't that impressive, but then we didn't meet any of her supporting cast.

Why can't the DCEU be half as good as the Arrowverse?

It wasn't impressive at all.

I could see it going either way, but they could make it extremely good if they delve into basically saying that Batman failed.... so bad that he just ended up abandoning everything, and Batwoman has to come in and right the ship.

Either way we'll be looking at a universe where Batman and Superman are on hiatus while their female counterparts cover for them.

I don't fully hate it - both Superman and Batman have kinda been rung through the shitter by the DCEU over the last few years and also Green Arrow has done a pretty good job of showing us Batman storylines without Batman.

I also think Ruby Rose can be pretty bad arse (and is probably one of the better actors in all of the Arrowverse if they let her just be.. her)

John Stewart Diggle is the Green Lantern of Earth 90.

Yes.

I think that was a big shout-out to the fans that have clamored for that for years.

The 2nd part was as good, if not better than, part 1.

Part 3 though?

Ruby's accent kept slipping through. Aside from stopping Barry and Ollie from fighting, Batwoman didn't do a whole hell of a lot other than pose for the camera.

Running around the world to slow down time? Even in Superman 2 that was weak.

If the SJW bs about salary wasn't enough to make me glad I only record Supergirl for the x-overs, the comment about women being better decision-makers was.

I was hoping the xover would end with the worlds all merging but it appears they are taking the long route on that (which is a good idea) and bringing that in for 2019.

At first I thought the Roger Hayden character was Psycho Pirate but then he never did anything "super" so I thought that since he was in Arkham maybe he was a token Court of Owls member. Now though...

Dammit. Was thinking it was the second one.

Thanks!

What if they tie the "sacrifice" into what's happened to Star City in the scenes from the future in Arrow?

I wonder if you guys are overthinking it. Our intrepid heroes didn't "owe" something, the universe just had to be balanced and someone powerful needed to be lost. A super man (Deegan) was destroyed as was the very powerful magical book. With Oliver's arrow glowing the same way as the book I assumed Deegan and the book are what ended up being sacrificed.

People (and news sites) are thinking that Oliver made a deal with The Monitor to save Barry and Kara.

Also...
The "Crisis" that Barry has seen as his death in the future newspaper headline was in 2024. So they may fast-forward for a portion of next year's crossover. That would allow for Ollie or whoever to die, and still finish out the season in the present day.

The “Smallville” Kent Farm was my favorite part of the whole crossover.

I thought crossover was enjoyable. Just feel like they try to hard to with including gay characters. Barry’s daughter is gay. Looks like Batwoman will be gay. They had to make a point that Earth 1 version of Kara’s sister was also gay. We get it there are gay folks in the Arrowverse.

Back to the show, who was the white faced dude who appeared with Lois and Martian Manhunter at the end. I assume he is a regular on Supergirl.

Batwoman is gay. She has always been gay. The difference is that Katie Kane looks like a supermodel in the comics with flowing red hair whereas Ruby Rose does not.

There's unproven speculation that she's gay because of a really bad relationship with Dick Grayson.

She and Renee Montoya/The Question have always been an item.

Proving once again that Dick Grayson is the most important character in the DCU.

She’s very pretty but she has the body of a high school boy.
