The action looks incredible, and I'm pumped. There's a lot of ground to cover in Part II. I wonder what the runtime on this will be. I'm curious how they'll handle Jessica and Alia bits.

LOVE the Walken cast. He played straight man a ton in his career. People just think of him as goofy the past decade or so. He has that long glaring look needed.

This looks insanely well done.

The scaling up of the "worlds" reminds me of the transition from Fellowship of the Ring to Return of the King. It's that zoomed out feeling Jackson just nailed in the size and scope of that series.

Me as well. Those parts are very weird and hard to translate to screen

Probably an easy 3 hours but there’s another sequel coming after this as well

Hope this gets the appropriate crowd response and support in theaters now that covid is officially over and people are going back to theaters regularly

They need to make her as creepy as the Alia from the Lynch Dune

Happy to still see Walken on the big screen with him getting up there in age.

a shame. I loved the idea of just making this a two-parter and ending it on Paul getting his revenge and becoming Emperor but at a significant cost and leaving it on that note.

I imagine the next sequel may be it for Denis but I doubt it’ll be the last dune movie if the box office stays on pace

Lotta material they can cover if they want. Not saying it’ll be good but probably will be made

I’d be shocked if Villeneuve lets anyone make a Dune movie that’s connected to these. This is his baby, something he’s always wanted to make and I think he’ll finish it. He’s talked about making 3 and possibly 4 but that was around the time of part 1 when it’s future was very uncertain.

If he only makes 3, he needs to weave Children of Dune into Dune Messiah.

The way I understood it was he wanted 2 movies for each of the first 2 books but that maybe only 1 movie for the second book would be possible as well.

Messiah probably wouldn't need two movies. The Sci Fi Channel mashed Messiah and Children together into one mini series. I can see that happening for a movie.

I just wish we'd get God Emperor on the big screen, though I know that will probably never happen. Too weird.
