Just read the plot of the God Emperor. W T F?

Leto playing the long game.

One thing I realized after my 2nd read through of the novels was that God Emperor of Dune is the nexus of this universe. The first three books lead up to Leto's millennial spanning reign, and the books after it deal with the results of his Golden Path.

I love the Sardaukar Design. the still suits need a little improvement. Baron Harkonnen looks creepy. was that all white bald guy Feyd Rautha? Paul Atreides actor is that kid from interstellar, not what I was expecting but okay. The Worm CGI was pretty lackluster. overall as a huge Dune fan I'm hyped for this.

the first book is self contained. The other books are basically extensions of the Dune Universe. Paul Atreides isn't the main focus of the other books.

It’s basically two trilogies with a bridge novel in GEOD, except Herbert died.

He's the Beast Rabban. I don't think Feyd makes an appearance in this movie.

The trailer looked fantastic. This may have to be seen in an HD theater imo.

Didn’t you read the book? A lot of politics and philosophy

So I know absolutely nothing about Dune, but this looks amazing af and I’m all in. But what is the deal with the worm reveal at the end that everyone is talking about?

It's the revelation of the relationship between the worm and the spice I would imagine. I have seen the original movie and the mini series but have not read the books. I need too and may get it done over the winter months.

I think Thufir is the short little old man in the trailers.

typically big budget movies tend to hide the creature (see jurassic park trex, godzilla, cloverfield) until the movie hits to built anticipation.

now we know what the worms look like from the first trailer.

There are only so many ways to portray a giant worm.

Are they switching Gurney and Duncan roles, with the "My Lord Duke" shot in the trailer?
