Now on episode 3 and alredy fast forwarding through the three blonde friend scenes and also the black lady wellness expert scenes.
I may have fast forwarded thrrough two or three scenes total in Season 1 and Season 2 combined (when Aubrey Plaza and her boyfriend were having a discussion about their relationship for the 24th and 25th time).
Just gonna throw this out there, but if you find yourself fastforwarding through lots of scenes in a show, maybe the show isn't for you.

Why?
Because it feels like watching a Bravo show, except the women are even less interesting.

Season 1 and Season 2 were two of my favorite watches in a long time. Thought they were both incredible. The pacing and the character development was great. Such a unique show.

Parker Posey is originally from Mississippi so it probably wasn’t hard for her in this role. Growing up in Louisiana I know tons of women with accents exactly like her in this show.
I couldn’t find the one I saw but she did an interview discussing the accent and she said she modeled it after women she knew who did it. And she’s 100% on point.

I think it's pretty spot on for that Piedmont/Research NC "o" sound. You ever watch a NASCAR race?

I genuinely don’t understand fast forwarding scenes in a show. Especially on one like White Lotus where there’s a fair amount of setup for the reveal at the end.

I read the brothers jerk each other off and decided season 3 wasn't gonna be for me.

Yes, I really enjoyed season 3

The accents were pretty good. Southern accents vary wildly and I think they did a good job isolating the certain North Carolina one they intended.
I watched a video of a professional dialect coach talking about their accents and he gave them an A-.
North Carolina sub-regional accents are nothing really like, say a Texas accent or Southern Georgia accent.

Season 1 was kind of meh for me. Never made it to season 2. Literally no one on the show is likable in any way and there really isn't a central plot.
Is Season 2 the same?

I think the majority of times people get upset over accents is them thinking "im southern and noone i know sounds like that" or "typical hollywood making the southerner sound ridiculous"
When in actuality Parker Posey lived in the south, and there are some people with accents that can be very different. I thought it was fine and I'm no professional dialogue coach

My apologies for not sharing the same opinion as you.

Its essentially a damn near universal opinion. Season 1 was a sensation and generally considered one of the better seasons of TV of the past decade. Its insanely funny and good
Season 2 is very good but not that level
Season 3 was disappointing to me but still very entertaining TV

This is why I wanted to watch it and was surprised I didn't like it. IDK maybe it's just because I hated all the characters

Guess this answers the original question. If I didn't like the first pretty safe to say I wont like the others.

Yeah I know she doesn't have the typical southern woman accent but she sounds like every middle + aged white woman I ever spoke with when I was in Starkville.

Season 3 was by far the least compelling season even though the stakes might be highest in S3

The scene with the monologue from Sam Rockwell talking to Walton Goggins was bizarre, surreal, outstanding. I had the same perplexed, shocked look on my face that Goggins character had.
That monologue is probably second only to Judy Gemstone's at the Outback in Season 1 of The Righteous Gemstones.

The only reason I ask is because it just strikes me as a bit odd to fastforward through parts of any show that were "my favorites and incredible."
