Agreed. Plus, we need another Big Bad to *persist* in the MCU, not just exist for a film.

I don't think it's a stretch to consider that while she's clearly multitasking in IW, if she were able to focus her attention on Thanos himself, she'd have smoked him.

Maybe? It's definitely possible, but we also have no idea how much Thanos is holding back. The IW Thanos didn't seem to actively WANT to kill anyone (unlike Endgame Thanos) but rather saw deaths as necessary. He even keeps his word:

1. Tells Loki he will spare Thor if he gives him the cube; Thor is not dusted later
2. Tells Doctor Strange he will spare Tony if he gives him the Time Stone; Tony is not dusted later

This is despite the fact that Thor nearly straight up murders him, and Tony gave him a fight and apparently annoyed Thanos a great deal.

I just hope they write him right and get the best actor for the part.

They kind of squandered who might have been the best actor for the job (Mads Mikkelsen) in the original Doctor Strange movie, but I suppose it could still work considering Doom is likely to be from another universe.

They've only had 3 truly well-written villains:
Loki
Thanos
Killmonger

Every other villain has been more or less cookie-cutter forgettable.

I don’t think Doom should be from a different one or another one.

In fact my initial thought was that Doom in the 616 is going to find that temple where Wanda collapsed on herself.

Who's the dude in the Captain Marvel suit? Also it look like the Movie have officially supersedes the 616 canon in terms of importance.

They need to bring RDJ back. Give him a five year break, then bring him back. Even if it’s just every few years in Avengers movies and cameos. I think they need to bring him back.

Pretty sure it’s just Carol with a haircut but I could be wrong

I think it is Carol, but I will dig out my copy of the comic tomorrow to see. I'm pretty sure I have this whole run along with the spin offs.

God Emperor Doom was easily one of the best cross over events in Marvel's history.

Let’s start casting some of these roles.

Mcavoy and Fassbender are money for X and Magneto. Hopefully that stays. Although Fassbender would also be an excellent Doom.

The Ratliff Wolverine casting I’m not a fan of. I just think it’s going to be hard to unsee Harry Potter. Egerton seems fine. You definitely have to bring in Jackman in some capacity. As I said earlier, we’re getting to a nostalgia film phase. You have to have him in some way. You’ve already had Patrick Stewart.

You have to bring in Chalamet to play somebody. I guess Cyclops works.

Depending on if they go younger or older for Doom, Vigo Mortensen I always felt would have been a great General Zod. I think he’d kill it as Doom. I know it would never happen, but Johnny Depp would make a good one. Michael Shannon. Dan Stevens would make an amazing villain imo.

Thanks to the Multiverse, Marvel now has a clean slate and an open book. Anything is possible. The potential is endless.

Good choice, but he's said he's not doing comic book movies

FYI, 616 is the comic universe main timeline.
Earth-199999 is the MCU

That could work, I’ve also seen fans cast him as Harry Osborne

Dacre Montgomery (Billy from Stranger Things) could make a solid Johnny Storm or young Wolverine

I feel like Doom will be Reed’s age so assuming Krasinski is our main Reed then you’ll probably need someone around that age

Fassbender I think is the best choice for Doom. Then you can recast Magneto and X. Which is probably best anyway.

I like the idea of Dacre Montgomery as Wolverine or cyclops.

Chalamet may be more open to playing a villain, but I imagine he’ll only do it if he trusts the director. I’m not sure how open he would be to be in a popcorn movie like the current Spider-Man movies.

Wrong. They even said it in this movie. It’s 616.

Johnny Storm should be the same age as Peter Parker. So someone who can play college age for a few years.

wait until Disney pisses everyone off by making Magneto a gay black guy and Professor X a woman.

But they have been pretty good with casting so far so I will trust them.
