Disney just pivoted to the wrong direction
No LOTR movie or show has used little people to play dwarves. Because little people aren’t mythical creatures.
Little people was fine
7 normal sized people was just a fricking insane second option
rushed CGI is better but still not great
Best option would be 7 actors

Oh i didnt sign on to any culture war. That seems like a hobby for people searching for a purpose or meaning in their lives.

His issue isn’t dwarves it’s little people being cast as dwarves.
Little people are humans
Dwarves aren’t.
And listen there are plenty of little people actors who would just be happy for the work.
I personally dont see little people as magical creatures and it takes me out of the world a bit when they’re cast as dwarves.

Dwarves in fantasy have been a thing forever. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had dwarfism, but to me theres a clear difference. There isn't a stereotype that people with dwarfism work in mines

All they had to do was cast someone who actually looked like Snow White and at least came CLOSE to looking as good as Gal Gadot. She didn't have to be obviously more beautiful, but casting someone who obviously isn't even in the same league as Gal Gadot is a huge fail.
The whole dwarf controversy didn't help either. Modern Disney is like a professional sports team constantly scoring on the wrong goal.

again, we have myths about dwarves and they are about mythical creatures.
mythological dwarves predate the scientific term dwarfism.
maybe all stories are based on early understandings of these people, like every tall fig was a giant, but again, I understand why they might feel the term is dehumanizing.
From a story telling standpoint again, I like seeing dwarves who look like dwarves, not little people.
