Anything for money, I guess. The same people will lecture you about human rights and wrongthink.

The new Mulan movie is facing a barrage of criticism—and promises to boycott—for filming near Chinese concentration camps and then thanking the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the privilege.

That's makes Disney's filming location—Xinjiang—an extra slap in the face. Xinjiang is where China has been holding Uighurs in concentration camps and subjecting them and other Muslim minorities to horrible human rights abuses.

Which brings us back to Mulan. After the movie's Friday release "observers noted [that] in the final credits Disney offers 'special thanks' to eight government entities in Xinjiang, including the public security bureau in Turpan, a city in eastern Xinjiang where several re-education camps have been documented,"

Funny this is this movie is getting criticized in China too for being too westernized or something like that.

They thanked a city, not specific authorities or camps. But that city is near the supposed internment camps, so not a huge difference.

I haven't seen the credits themselves but it sounds like it's more than just thanking the city - but explicitly thanking specific Chinese government agencies. Is that accurate?

I remember all of the actors who refused to work in Georgia because of some abortion ruling or transgender laws or whatever. They sent out their tweets and "woe is us as a nation" bullshite. All of their buddies in the media had a good laugh at how dumb the South is and said it was just another reason not to do business in fly over country. I'd love to have them all gathered in a room and hear their excuses on why China's much, much more heinous transgressions are acceptable in their eyes and watch them squirm.

Randy Marsh tried to warn us.

After releasing "Mulan" on Disney+, eagle-eyed viewers noticed a "special thanks" in the film's end credits that named eight government entities in Xinjiang, including the public security bureau in the city of Turpan, where the country is allegedly operating more than a dozen "reeducation" camps.

They wouldn't squirm at all. They're all hypocrites.

Gonna wait to see Lebron's thoughts before I make my decision.

Also haven't seen the movie. The movie news sites are saying they thanked the city. Political websites are saying they thanked either the authorizes, the actual camps, or both. Love for someone who's seen it to confirm.

Disney
threatens to boycott filming in Georgia due to abortion law
has no problem filming in a Xinjiang, which has literal concentration camps, and even thanks the authorities there
lol you can't make this shite up

As I already said, you illiterate hack, I would love for someone who has seen the movie to confirm. Political sites and movie sites are reporting different things, but neither looks good.
Much like here, when comparing political vs. movie news/review sites, I know damn well which are more likely to have actually seen the movie reported on.

...
Are you under the impression they're the same actors?
Or that all actors share a hive brain?

Nah, you're hackishly calling it into question. The hacks who claim it's just the region are basing that on the fact that they thank the governing body, of that region. You can't thank an inanimate object, dude.
And even if they are, they'd still be praising a region where this goes on, so it's basically the same thing.
So, to recap, Disney enjoys molesting children and praising concentration camps while telling you what to think and that it's okay to chop your kid's dick off.
A magic kingdom full of horrible ghouls.
