He was de-aged by Alpha, the Ultimate Mutant.
(issue date: Oct 1974)
He would later be stolen from Muir Island (as an infant) by Erik the Red somewhere around Uncanny X-Men 105 (June, 1977) and regrown into a young adult around that time.
This would have put him physically looking to be around the same age as Cyclops and his team.
The artists have played with both his and Xavier's physical aging a bit since then (well... not Xavier's any longer, I guess... for now lol).
