They're gonna control the entire entertainment industry in a few years.

So nobody complains that Warner Bros owns the rights to all their characters and have made bad movies at best, but when Disney tries to get the rights to all their characters and they actually make good movies it's a monopoly? Explain

I don't take issue with Disney trying to do it....but that doesn't make it a good thing.

I wanted WB to sell the DC rights after Suicide Squad.

Fox has made good movies and were doing things different than Disney. It gave us some variation.

Personally, I can't wait to see a full blown Xmen comedy

I guess it can't be worse than an Xmen horror movie

Would certainly be an odd purchase for Disney.

I have a problem in the comics themselves that the X-Men and Marvel are set in the same universe, nevertheless the movies, where this will make no sense in the context of that universe.

This is awful news. I’m guessing WALL-E was more Disney’s overall plan to take control of society:

Jesus, imagine a full blown X-Men and Fantastic Four makeover to go with Black Panther, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange and Captain Marvel to headline Phase 4 of the MCU.

They truly would never stop making those movies

I think it hat the Fantastic 4 could easily fit in with the MCU, but not the X-Men.

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the Brian Singer disaster.

I don’t like this if only because Disney getting more powerful is a problem.

I don’t like the idea that Disney could all of a sudden buy out the Fox movie libraries and then all the media rights to those properties transition from Ultraviolet to Keychest (Movies Anywhere) as well as falling off services such as Netflix to Disney’s upcoming service.
