But you do at least agree with me that IF she was just running in to get it, she would have taken the baby but left the carseat, right? Which would be a plothole because the cab driver would not drive off with the carseat since he would be waiting for her with the meter running.

Really? I haven't said a thing in this post about the show not being realistic.
And for those that have, once again, how are their posts any less relevant than you beating the same dead horse 100s of times about Miles. The season is over and you still feel the need to say the same thing over and over and over and over. You are the energizer bunny of irrelevant posts.

the dexter season is over too FYI yet you're on page 5 of debating whether a fake tv mom should leave a fake tv baby in a cab or if you as an awesome parent would do such a thing.

Are you kidding me? It's not that difficult. Rita rescheduled her flight because she left her ID. Therefore, when the taxi driver brought her home, she took the baby inside to STAY for a few hours and the taxi driver LEFT. It seemed fairly obvious that the next flight was going to be leaving later that evening.

Season 5 has not been written or discussed yet. The writers have a retreat in February where the brainstorming begins. Julie Benz has been led to believe she is done

I know many on here made some guesses that they would kill Rita, but did anyone believe they would really do that. I know most of you wanted her gone, but I just did not see them really doing that.
I figured with the mess of kids, they wouldn't send her of to the great hereafter so it did shock me. Especially since I figured the episode was over one he got Trinity.
Nicely done, even with all the spoilers.

Wow what a season and final episode. When the Trinity Killer was driving away in his convertible I was wondering what the hell he was so damn happy about. He was clearly content with himself about something and it was the first thing I thought back to after I saw Rita dead. I think season 2 still might be my favorite just because the chance of Dexter getting caught was so compelling but this is right up there with season 1.

The big big question is going to be whether Dexter decides to keep being the children's father or does he give them to other family members or something similar to protect them from the consequences the "Dark Passenger" will inevitably bring upon them? I think the obvious answer is that he will keep them, but we have to see if Rita dying will awaken his inner lunitic a bit more? Or will it make him see that the "Code" must be followed much more so then he has done the past few seasons.

On the other hand, it would really make him look like a douche sending his son and two step kids off to live with granny. Plus I think he would miss them.
They may move Deb in with him to help out but that would be a touch out of character as Deb does not seem to like kids too much. Although she may blame herself and her drive to catch Trinity for Rita's death.
