The ending leaves things wide open, I think the kids go to the grandparents and we get back to Dexter at his finest. Very good season.

That was pretty awesome, but just makes me hate everything that tells you there is going to be a "Huge Twist!!". That should be a spoiler in itself. You just knew something was gonna happen due to the ads.

Also, while I loved it and this was the best season since the 1st, the ending pretty much ripped off the ending of 24 season 1.

I was thinking that the twist was Deb finding out about where Dexter came from, and I was obviously disappointed until the end of the show. I was still extremely shocked by the ending, even though Showtime pimped the "huge twist." I was completely floored by this episode as well as this entire season. Bravo!

......I am speechless. My jaw dropped that last minute, and I prayed it was a dream sequence or something. I know Rita sort of got in the way of Dexter's shite but still. Just wow. The possibilities are endless.
With such a gruesome murder, does Dexter's face end up on the news? What if Arthur's family sees him on the news? They'll know he who he really is and could think something is up. Do Deb/Batista and everyone chalk this Trinity killing up to him being desperate and breaking his pattern, or do they see through the BS?
Although many wished it, I honestly didn't see this coming.

rita being murdered was not a fun thing to see, no matter what people thought, she was a fixture on the show....the show could have gone in another way other than show his own child being put int he same situation as dex was when he was young.......i thought it was pretty weak.....and sucked that dex basically is "responsible" for the death of his own wife who is the mother of his son!!!.....if his dumb arse would have killed arthur early on...rita would be alive.....

when you think about it... this would have been a great way to end the whole series. everything has come full circle. (granted i love the show and am looking for another season).
laura moser was killed because of harry's involvement. he talked her into the situation where she was killed. dexter put rita in harm's way as well. now dexter will have to raise harryson with the code just like harry raised dexter.

Keep in mind nothing says anyone will know about Rita's death. Dexter will get rid of her body. People will think she skipped town, shipped her two kids off to her parents and left Dexter with his own. Masuka will believe it and back Dexter up. The MO for the show all along has been how messed up everyone that seems normal is in reality.

Oh yeah that's right. I don't think that'll end up being too big of a deal because of Deb's involvement - Trinity's daughter did shoot Lundy and Deb, so there would be motive for going after other members of Deb's family. Of course Dexter will have to think up some kind of credible story to explain it.

SPOILERS!!!
I may be wrong but didn't his picture only go up after they got the kid to draw the picture of the 4 walls logo. They only had the truck driver as their Trinity but after the kid they got the Four Walls list and knew it was Arthur.

yes, this is correct, but Batista still can see the pic and remember seeing Trinity in the station.
i think it will be hard for Dexter to get rid of Rita without everyone knowing something's up.
no one has mentioned quinn either, he has had it out for dexter for quite a while and he could easily be the one to figure it all out, not deb or batista.
