Nice twist!
Definitely a great ending to a great season...sets a lot of interesting things up for next season...now that Debra knows bits of Dexter's true identity, will she be able to unravel the rest? How will Dexter care for the kids now that Rita isn't there? Will they learn his secret like in the books and will he eventually teach them the code of Harry??
BTW, the post ending interview with Lithgow and Hall was captivating...
This one definitely ranks as my favorite season...excited for next season!! Next up, Californication!!

I don't get how Dexter is going to be able to handle becoming a self-loathing guilt ridden psycho killer AND take care of 3 kids now. He can't really afford a nanny, can he?

What a great episode, when Dexter was listening to that voicemail I was thinking, 'this is it?'', and then he finds Rita in the tub.
Next season has so many different story lines that could be run that it's ridiculous. I found it interesting that Michael C. Hall mentioned in the interview that Dexter with vengance on his side may operate with less boundries. If he doesn't have the kids I could definetly see that.
All in all, a great season, probably my favorite of the series.

as much as I despised Rita. I did not like seeing her in that bathtub. Maybe it's because she's a mother...maybe it's because of the crying infant.....I'll get over it though....been wishing death on her for many an episode.

Writers are amazing, emmy's are deserved this season. I would say next year I don't know how they will top that, but I think the writers deserve a break next year and could just do a season of Dexter adjusting before coming strong again. Well done! My dad called the second credits hit and my mom is on the West Coast and I am sure will be calling me in a few hours.

Holy fricking shite. That was mind blowing, it ripped my heart out. This is possibly the best show in the history of television. The writing is beyond phenomenal. They better win some Emmey's this year.
