Hopefully it's better than the Sandler return.

Saturday Night Live has no balls. No way they will let Murphy do the stuff that made him famous. We are going to get shitty Disney movie Eddie Murphy.

No way it’ll happen, but I’d love to see Murphy revive the undercover white person sketch, but this time the white person gets admonished everywhere he goes for privilege and microaggressions

They had better not waste Murphy's time and talent with another of those tired Family Reunion sketches.

They have to do something like this to get viewers I’m sure.

Eddie’s career has evolved as does most people’s. He has done pretty much nothing but family comedies for the last 2 decades. Dolemite looks like it could be good, but I don't know if the old Eddie Murphy exists anymore. And the current SNL audience doesn’t remember this dude’s SNL days anyway so who cares

Watch his episode on Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars...he's in there.

He's older, but a version of that guy is still there.

Not sure how you can watch the Dolemite trailer and say that.

I thought Sandler’s return was pretty good
Mainly because he got Smigel and a bunch of his friends to write for him

No doubt Eddie’s return included a commitment from Lorne that Eddie and his writers will write the show. So we may get what Eddie thinks is funny and not what we want from him
