Starring The Rock as Krypto and Kevin Hart as Ace

Pretty damn good movie. Voice cast was big.

Batman was voiced by Keanu Reeves.

The Justice League wasn’t really in it, much.

My only complaint was having Jessica Cruz (GL) in the movie when there are like 4 more Green Lanterns more popular than her. But mostly because it made me think of how great Geoff John’s Green Lantern run really put him to the forefront of DC and the GL movie tanked the IP.

But for this movie.

I dug the animation. Metropolis felt like a cool sandbox.
Voice cast, again, was star studded. John Krasinski was Superman.

Good kid movie; but like most animation these days lots of adult humor snuck in there.

Even the villain was sympathetic.

I’m pretty excited to see it as a dog and DC lover
Good to hear that the cast killed it since they’re all so good

If you believe there is a Woke agenda in Hollywood, don’t take your kids to see this. Took my kids today and if we had known what was pushed out, we wouldn’t have taken them.

Fyi- we aren’t a right wing conservative family, we just don’t want our kids brainwashed

There’s a few things but not much, imo.

What specifically bothered you about this movie?

There was lesbian couple in the background. That’s all I can remember. Maybe one or two other things. But nothing outlandish like Star Wars, “X-Women” or Marvel stuff lately.

Oh and Lex’s purple haired assistant claimed to be the real brains. But that’s nothing.

There's a scene early (First 5-10 minutes) where Superman is trying to distract Krypto via fetch to kiss Lois, Krypto goes to take the toy back to supes when he starts talking to two other dogs. The dogs try to tell him he's being rotated out of the "Man's best friend role", saying the same thing happened when his owner got engaged to his fiance (obvious lesbian couple shown on screen).

I think it took my wife out of the film for a while. She's anti-political and usually cackles throughout a movie of cheesy kids jokes, but she went from engaged at the star to unusually silent for a while after that.

So she was upset that Lesbians were shown in a movie? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they also exist in the real world.

Our main gripe was the obvious profanity that was “bleeped” out. The turtle was a great character that didn’t need that type cheap joke. One might be okay, as it could pass over a kids head, but after 3-4 it was just overkill.

Also, the Lesbian couple at the beginning (and possible other gay couple at the end of the movie) wasn’t an issue…however as you pointed out just about every movie/show has that element as well. It just seems forced. Something like 10% of the US population is LGBT+, but seems like it has to be a requirement in all media to insert some variation of that. No big deal, but it just seems untenable long term. For instance, like 10% of US citizens identify as Hindi, but I rarely see the Hindu culture represented in film/tv.

TL/DR: they needed to add a super pet who was Hindi

It was pretty damn cute. Loved the animation- always wanted to see DC heroes in an "Incredibles" style animation.
Loved the Krypto and Superman relationship. I liked Kevin Hart's "Ace" but it wasn't Ace the Bathound I was expecting. Loved the Ace from Batman Beyond. It did tend to get a little cheesy with the final battle but overall a solid for kids. Ultimate message is realizing your mistakes and taking responsibility for your own behaviour.

Why didn't you guys warn me about Jessica Cruz... WHY?!

I actually like Jessica Cruz and was expecting this:

Not dumpy short swat looking plus size this!

And don't blame it on the animation style. They did Diana like this.

Still attractive with that cartoonish look.

My god...didn't care about the gays and lesbian since that is what all superheroes and heroine seem to be. Even Spider-Man is gay now and Peter Parker Spider man, golden weaver or something.

But holy shite that Jessica Cruz iteration..

you're right, yet i am 100% sure that my almost 11 year old has never in his life seen two women show anything in real life that would make you suggest they are a couple. Hell i couldn't tell you the last time i've seen that.

The only place we see it with blatant obviousness is in the movies and tv shows.

Saw this yesterday for $3 and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The cast was great and story was fun. My only complaint was the weird bleeped out words the turtle said. It just seemed very strange for a kids movie, and was a tad distracting.

Took my 5 years old and thought it was pretty unremarkable. Just a bit bunch of big named actors doing voice work for money for old rope.

Did no one catch the turtle's comment at the end?
It was something along the lines of "I have two firemen helmets coming over later, and they're twins!“

IMO, inappropriate for a kids movie.
