Dark Crystal:. Ep 1 impressions, Ep1 only spoilers

I’m watching now. About 15 minutes in. Impressed so far.

frick no, this is straight up puppets for 10 episodes

First episode was fantastic. There was a couple of instances where some CGI made it look like a video game, but it’s mostly practical effects and puppets and it is glorious!

Reviews are mixed but honestly, doesn’t sound like I’d have an issue with the stuff complained about.

Holy shite. This might be one of the most interesting Netflix series yet.

Kind of stunning to look at, and while I love The movie, they've taken the concept and blown it up big time. I'm impressed 3 episodes in.

I love the Podling paladin.

First episode is a little weak. Not bad. It gets it’s much better and way way more epic, the ending of episode 7 man. Unreal

I think you should. Finally, some of the comedy, especially early on, seems aimed more at children. And there’s some intentionally awkward/funny muppet work. But probably the best show I’ve seen in long time. It’s fun.

And it definitely gives you a ton on the Dark Crystal universe. Like if you wanted to know more about skeksis, you’ll learn more here.

I do think some of the skeksis stuff is a little overindulgent. There’s some gross out humor and just general wallowing with how despicsble skeksis are but that’s fine.

Also, finally. Like there’s some dark shite in here.

I'm on episode 7 and its so good. I didn't think it was gonna be as dark as it is, but these damn Skeksis are awful! Just let the Gelfling live! Also Mark Hamill as the Scientist is peak Mark Hamill.
