It gets better. I was very meh on it after the first 5 episodes, but the last 3 or so were really good and made me excited for season 2.

Seriously, that hall fight scene in the 3rd or 4th episode was boring?
Sheesh.
Sheesh.

Well it dragged on forever and It was incredibly unnecessary
The kid was in an unlocked door at the end of an unguarded hall way, and he knew where the kid was.
He then decides to instead of just walking in and saving the kid, he wants to walk into a room full of baddies and get his arse kicked for 20 minutes

The modern incarnation of Batman as the Dark Knight is a direct ripoff of Daredevil. Just sayin. Even had the same writer, and he was hired specifically to retcon Batman the same way he had Daredevil.

I tapped out permanently during the confession scene in the first few minutes of the pilot. I could instantly tell this was not for me. The OP's comments confirm that.

So much of the episodes thus far consist of two dudes sitting around talking only to cut away to another seen with two or more dudes standing and talking. Then Daredevil shows up for about 10 minutes before the credits roll.
Episode 4 thus far has my favorite action scene where he rescues the girl from the Russians. It reminded me so much of Nolan's Batman.

This is true, look up Frank Miller.

Saying that Miller's Batman is a ripoff of Miller's Daredevil is ridiculous. Miller does the same shite with pretty much every character. You might as well say that Sin City and his ridiculous Spirit film are ripoffs of Daredevil. The current Batman (who isn't even Bruce Wayne at this point) is the result of Miller and dozens of other writers having their way with the character.
The problem is that Hollywood can't get away from sucking on Miller, so we repeatedly see rehashes of his versions of Daredevil and Batman. Even though there are decades of better comic book stories to bring to the screen.
Saying that Miller ripped off Miller's Daredevil for Miller's Batman is like saying that Scorsese ripped off Goodfellas when he made Casino. It's the same artist working in the same genre telling the story of similar characters. Of course they're going to resemble each other.

He decided to beat up the bad guys before grabbing the kid, thus keeping the kid out of a probable fight with said bad guys?
I could see how someone might think that's a bad decision...

Are Netflix fanboys a thing now?
I am a Daredevil fan (the comics character) and after all the hype expected to be blown away. I am about halfway through the season, and it looks cheap, almost low budget. And Foggy is not a good actor.
I couldn't get into House of Cards, either (but I generally dislike modern politics).
I did think Bloodline was excellent.

Batman was an entirely different character pre-Dark Knight. This current popular incarnation of Batman is completely tonally different from pre-Frank Miller Batman.
The irony here is that Daredevil was a Marvel ripoff of Batman, and was a C-level book for most of its history. Then Frank Miller showed up and transformed the character and the tone of the book. He was so successful at reviving the Daredevil character, a blatant Batman knockoff, that DC took notice and hired Miller to work on Batman and energize the character in the same way he had Daredevil. Miller got the Batman gig specifically because of what he did on Daredevil. If he could make the Batman knock off interesting, imagine what he could do with the real thing.
And while many writers have come and gone on Batman since Miller, it is all fundamentally based on his take on the character as the "Dark Knight" (just as all incarnations of DD have been fundamentally based on his version of the character... except arguably Waid's interpretation).
People forget that Batman was an incredibly popular character outside of comic book fans in the 60s and 70s due to the TV show. That was the popular image of the caped crusader, and it was nearly unimaginable for DC to turn him into a dark, extra-legal character. He had always been more of an adjunct of the cops before then. Batman as we know him today is a completely different character than the one Bob Kane invented.
Modern Batman is based upon the rewrite of Daredevil. He's the Batman-clone who got the retcon first, and when it proved successful, they gave him the more iconic character to work on.

There was no one in the hallway!
All he had to do was walk down the hallway and grab the kid and walk the frick out. The bad guys were in two rooms with the doors closed and no suspicion that someone would be walking in the building

The 4th downvote was mine. I downvoted your thread last night but haven't gotten to reply until now.

I'm 4 episodes in and i'm having a hard time wanting to watch the rest. It's just not interesting to me right so far.
Agents of Shield was kind of like that at first, now it's my favorite show on tv.
I'll watch the rest of it, just in no rush to.

I started out watching one episode per night and that was a good pace with the slowness of the first few eps. Then I hit episode 7 and watched the whole second half in two days.

That was how I viewed it as well. I'd watch an episode or two, and then not pick it back up for a week or two. The last third or so of the season went faster though.
